I was wondering what the best wax to use on a Blk Cherry paint job is? also if anyone has any tips on waxing/detailing our rides.
Thanks in advance

Zino would be my #1 recommendation, but $$$$$$. Zymol is pretty good also. I used it on my BMW and 350Z with AWESOME results. I will dig up some pictures to show.
I'd definitely start with a clay bar, then move to a good polish, and finally end with a good wax, like Gold Class, Klasse, or something similar. Going all out on wax is a little extreme, but it will do a nice job.

I would go with anything you want off this page here. The color of your car has nothing to do with what WAX you use. It may (if you believe it) have something to do with what polish you use. But for the most part any products you use on your car except the wax will not stay on the paint at all. So pick what you like and have fun rolling a clean whip.
Not to try and tell you what to do but i would go with poorboy's for anything you need.
Use Mothers Pre-Wax cleaner, Sealer & Glaze and Carnuba Wax. Its a 3 step process and easy to use by hand. You can get all 3 for less than $30.
Meguair's Hi Tech Yellow Wax #26 or Synthetic Sealant 2.0 #21 are also good once your paint is cleaned and ready for protection.
M105 followed by M205 and then M21 or M26 is what I am currently using.
Everyone has their own preferences for brands and in the end it really does not matter what you use as long as you use something to keep your paint as flawless as your willing to make it.
I got the buffer, and most of everything you would need here in CT. We did a great job on my old car and the 06 subie last spring. I plan on doing a full job on my black cherry this year, if you want to get together when its warm and do both the cars I'm all for it, let me know.
I'd love to have a little detail jam! My buddy has a big house in FFLD (his gramps left it to him) with a 2 bay garage. it's set up pretty good. He also has a mazda, A 6 wagon. If u check the pics of my new badges, thats his crib with the chevy Luv. Plus another local boy SpeedDemon on this site lives around the corner and he's definatly in too! he has a Blk MS6. i'd like to get it done sooner rather than later. let me know what day/ time works best for you. Sat is prob best. Bring your old man and his Subie if you want. My buddy has compound and all kinds of waxes. We both have buffers too. either way let me know. It would make for some awesome Pics!
