It the radiator support i guess. The big plastic piece by where the hood stand rests, and on the lookers right side it has like and extra fin the runs on top for a while. Like the piece looks like _____=======. I dunno here the pic.

I wanna know if i can trim it back a little to make some room for my BOV hose's they are rubbing on the plastic because of engine movement and breaking the hoses.

I'd assume also protects your hands, etc. from the fan?

K, but is it at all apart of the structure? Can i put some notches in it?

Those are some really pretty vacuum lines. Did those come with the BOV?

You should be able to notch it. Its still gonna rub unless you take alot out.

No, but made by the same company. they are Synapse's Boost Connect fittings.

Nice stuff.

I know, thats why i'm trying to make sure that that stupid plastic pice doesn't do anything important.
OHHH I FOUND A BETTER PICTURE! wtf IS THAT PIECE, why is it raised up and why only part of the way?

Are you serious? The hood support rod rests against this when clipped in. Without looking at my car, I am not sure if any of the gaskets rest on this, but I would assume not as the L hand side is open. But it definitely conforms to the hood support rod when stored.

Hey good call! Didn't have to be such a jerk about it.(poke)
lol, but why the whole dam big confusing raised plastic piece.

BUt your right, and.... it doesn't seem to do anything else, so trim i will.

WAIT, so even if i notch the piece under the one that hold the hodd thing, It wont hurt anything?

i doubt it has any more function than just holding in the hood prop, but if you're gonna cut a notch in it at least make it look pretty by smoothing it with a dremel or something

i cant imagine the vaccuum line moves that much...

as for that raised piece, isnt it for sealing off the scoop in the grille?

Just a thought...

Might search around & see if there aren't some 90 degree adapters you could put on the BPV so the hoses come off at a right angle instead of directly forwards, towards all that plastic. Then you solve the problem without slicing & dicing anything. Heck, maybe even contact the BPV manufacturer to see if they have something like that on hand.

^^^^^^
Done and Done, There are eblbows but I have to see if i can get them screwed into the front.

The lines look tiny but the have the same ID as any other rubber vac line.

ever watch your engine with the hood up when you rev it? Imagine it under a full load. I bet the thing move an inch in both directions.

Good thought, but if that was the case why does it only go half way across?

A good, solid motor mount would stop alot of the engine movement. :)

I've got CS inserts, and I don't want the vibs of a good solid MM(confused)

without seeing the underside of the MS3 hood, i would expect it to line up with some of the plastic pieces.

Off topic, but after a year with my SU mount, I don't even notice any vibes anymore. Either I got used to them, or the mount broke in and they subsided. Either way, I'm happy.

Jasnall, I picked up that elbow from Marshalls today for the c-port. I'm curious to see how you connect it to the T at the wastegate. Did Synapse redo the whole thing back there with quick disconnects or did they just use a brass tee?
