2003.5 MSP + Many Miatas
Yes I knew it was missing. I took a chance and bought it. Car has 53K miles and interior is excellent. Outside needs some work, multiple dings (PDR-able) and the front bumpercap is loose. Wheels have severe curb rash. Car runs fine but of course not very fast.

I got it cheap enough that I could almost part it out. What would it cost me to add the turbo, manifold all piping, intercooler etc..with used parts? Should I go through the effort and cost? I bought it for less than $3K. Would it be worth anything to someone who wants a project?

+1

I'm guessing it isn't an MSP at all...

Oh no! Are you thinking it is a MP3 dressed up like MSP. It is blue, crap! But on second thought, it has the interior, the racing harts, all the spoilers and i just checked, it is a 2003. I bought the car literally just before a truck picked it up to haul it to the auction.

post the VIN and we shall tell you if its an MSP or not lol

yeah, post up a vin and we can find out if its really an MSP, I'm gonna doubt it until I see differently. Everyone else posting knows this, but to the OP: things that are different on the MSP: interior (Pedals, shift knob, seats, door sills, cluster), side mirrors, engine cover, taillights, spoiler, side skirts, front bumper (lip on 03.5), rear lip, wheels, springs, shocks, sway bars, obviously the turbo system, deck, sub enclosure, door speakers, badging... thats a fairly complete list off the top of my head... unless it has the majority of those parts, its likely just an ES with some of the parts swapped..

i'm gonna say it's prolly a msp. it doesn't have the antenna, unless it was deleted.. which is prolly not. and the rear window looks to have the msp antenna.. anyways.. it prolly had a blown turbo, and they took it out. it would be cheaper for you to just replace the turbo. that's a hell of a price for a msp. good job!
