someone keyed my car.. help!

Hey guys... so to the point

I was out in DC, parked my car in a known are, someone keys my car al around.. the problem is that I kinda know who it is, because it was done too about 2 months a go.. and now its just getting depressing. I have zero deductible in my insurance so its covered, but of course.. I still get mad and upset.. the question is..

I want to be smart about this, I didn't do anything the first time my car got keyed (by the person I think who did it..) and now.. may be i can get an alarm system? but do they detect that? how do I approach this? i mean if I ask the guy, he's going to deny it.. like the big sissy he is.. please help? will post pics as soon as I get them

anyways, there are close proximity alarms, but in dc, i could see that being an issue.. the only thing i can tell you is to maybe not go to dc, or make sure wherever you park, there's cameras....

get a shock alarm, mount the sensor in the area that has been keyed... and hope that he's dumb enough to set the alarm off before he does any damage to your paint?

The key won't shake the car enough to set the shock sensor off...
An alarm won't prevent your car from being touched or keyed, unfortunately.

I didn't think you could get proximity alarms for cars. Too bad you can't get some James Bond electric grid on your car. =)

Only way is to catch the person in the act or on camera.

Any idea why he's keying your car, especially more than once? From reading your OP, it seems like you know this guy?

i though abotu alarms.. I also tought about buyign that paint remover that u spray on and walk away... but them Idk, I might let karma do its job.. I jsut want to try to prevent, I guess just stop going out.. I yeah, I wanna kick his ass.. -.-

blow up his car would mean insurance would pay for it, hes got maif, so I wanna do some comprehensive coverage damage, they suck at acting fast and pay little.. also they deductible is high...

I know. but his * is such a coward that he would say he didn't do it... but u know what, karma has done some of its job, I mean the dude lives in a 1 bed room apartment with his mom and brother and drives a toyota camry... oh works for boa... lol and has maif.... haha Idk.. jealousy is something great, I guess hes got lots of that towards me.

well, car in the shop today, no new parts needed, just paint blend, and uh... well.. oh yeah nice part is that I got a brand spanking new maxima ('09) for rental.. man, its soo nice and pretty fast! I am impressed
