Maxx WHP question

ok this is posted in the lounge area too, but i didn't quite know where to post this. So here it is...

I was wondering does anyone on here know the maxx power ever produced out of an msp? I am in a contemplation period where i do not know if i wanna build this car crazy fast with a big turbo, or leave in my GT25R (upgraded) and build the suspension crazy. if any one has any information on the maxx whp made out of an msp i would really love to hear it.

I think there is one 500 HP MSP out there actually in spain, around 250-280 is the tranny limit, you'll need to go forged, upgrade tranny and get a bigger turbo say Gt307 type. The suspension in the MSP is pretty good from the start minus the clunk. I think you better off going with upgrading the motor and power side of things, the suspension only needs minor mods.

well see the thing is i can upgrade everything in the suspension... pretty much to all gt spec parts and it would pretty much out handle any other car in my area lol... but there are some nasty srt4's around here... in fact my one friend is putting down about 550whp... soo that is the thing... im not too sure which direction to take it because i didn't know if these motor's produced enough displacement to spool like a gt35 and make in the close range of 400whp or for that matter if it would be even workth it with the how much it would cost

If you're worried about cost...you're in the wrong car to be thinking about chasing down those kinda of numbers...Be happy with high 200s low 300s and just destroy other cars in the twisties...it's what mazdas are meant to do not go in a straight line..

Well the msp has potiental to produce 400+ ponies. But its going to cost you. Just a fyi the msp is a FF turbo so u can only do so much. I think the issue u might have is putting those hps on the ground. The guy from spain had tons of patients and had a long down time. But now he probably has the badest msp on this board. IMO u should trade the msp in for a evo, sti or srt4 they can achieve the numbers u want easily without to many headaches.

like i love my msp to death esp after last night when i was ripping this mountain a new one and did the fastest time down it that anyone in this whole local area has ever done... but i do want some numbers to go along with that... so im in a horrible delemia

GT28RS, forged internal, Subaru 440 Injectors, FMIC, exhaust, a tune, and a boost controler an your lookin at close to 300HP... its a total of a close to 5000 dollars... but youd need to build the tranny as well

and for the tranny it's cheaper... but you can always go find an old Familia tranny and thro in some GTX gears an a new LSD and there ya go... got yourself a 300HP all wheel drive handling MSP

uh not really... but I wouldnt feel completely safe driving on a welded LSD pushing that kind of HP... but I'm a worrier when it comes to my car... if it aint runnin right I aint drivin it till it is...

im not trying to call you out or anything but there is no way you can do all this stuff for 5k.
i would give at least 4k for forging the motor if you wanted to do a good job. then the turbo thats 1k and the injectors 400 fmic lets say you get it used so 600 exhaust 300 boost controller 40 also got it used and this does not include the tranny or the tune.

cheapest way is to buy a built MSP with bigger turbo and other mods, then work it a little more the way you like. If you do it all yourself it'll cost you way more $.

all wheel drive???are you saying it is possible to make the msp all wheel drive?and have people done it?if so where do i find such parts to put it together?

find a wrecked MS6 and figure out how to install the parts into the MSP......done and done....lol

It would take so much work to make a msp AWD, you would have to rig up so many things it would not be worth it.

the easier install would prolly be from the 323 GTX.. that drivetrain would probably be easier to fit. i think it's probably closer to the size also.. anyways, if you're planning on selling the car, don't do any mods.. you'll get a better dollar when you sell it without mods.

awd drive on a msp is a lost cause, it would cost you so much and in the end its not worth it. with the proper mods and a new lsd you will be fine.
