Traded my 08 Mazdaspeed 3 in this past weekend

Poor resale value means he got the car used for a great price. I think that means he got great value for what he wanted.

His car is basically a Mercedes with none of the typical Chrysler reliability issues.

He is the owner and he's not complaining.

You are saying his car which is almost entirely Mercedes parts from the SLK and an S-class rear suspension is poorly engineered?

If he cared about cargo area or number of seats, he'd have purchased a different car, so your complaints here are dumb.

He doesn't care about the design, I imagine he rather likes it. It's a good thing aesthetics are entirely subjective things, frankly. I imagine you've a face only a mother could love, but that's just me.

The automatic in his car is the same automatic that's in other Mercedes SLK AMG's. Are they crappy automatics, too? Or is it just when you take the same components and slap a Chrysler badge on them that you pee your pants with futile car opinion rage?

And while you are entitled to your opinion, you are not entitled to be an ass because someone bought a car you wouldn't, while at the same time having the gall to like it.

Please stop talking.

let me help with your critical thinking here while you're being happy and angry at the same time...

i am talking about a NEW CROSSFIRE $50K car VS. a NEW MS3 $25K car.

now, congrats to him he bought it for 19k with low miles, best of luck to him and i hope he enjoys the car for many yrs to come.

wow. that's a fair comparison. lol a mazda3 sedan. so you buy cars according to what jdpower says? nice.

For the record.

"Since 1968, J.D. Power and Associates has been conducting quality and customer satisfaction research based on survey responses from millions of consumers worldwide. We represent the voice of the customer by translating survey responses from consumers and businesses into studies and reports that companies worldwide use to improve their business. In fact, J.D. Power and Associates has developed and maintains one of the largest, most comprehensive historical customer satisfaction databases in existence, which includes feedback on the shopping, buying, and ownership experiences for a variety of products and services."

Do you have a specific reason to discount them?

Do you have a specific reason to discount them?

nope. do you want me to spoon feed you too?

that's why you test drive a vehicle before you buy it. it's good to have professional reviews, but for me personal experiences from my friends, family, and the people they know who i actually SEE and MEET count.

The guy who says "THEY ARE TOO MUCH I'D NEVER BUY ONE, THEY HAVE TERRIBLE RESALE" to a guy who got his used for a fraction of the sticker price for whom none of those concerns apply is questioning my critical thinking skills?

Okay.

Dizzin, he just said a few posts back that he has a hummer H3 for a daily driver/business vehicle. So your arguments about seating area, cargo area, and blind spots are completely useless. And of course, heres the BIG deal, did he buy the car for you and make you drive it? Then why are you so adament about how big of a piece of crap it is. Do you go stop people in neons at stop lights and parking lots to tell them how big of a mistake they made? And as far as pontiacs being pieces of s***, i myself have had a trans am, my mom has had 4 grand prix's, a grand am, a bonneville, and a transport. Guess what, never had a single major problem with any of them. All car companies have the same issues, thats why there is multiple car lines, some people prefer different things. I personally hate chrysler interiors because they seem very bland to me, the crossfire is the exception to the rule. Ive worked for all of the big 3 automakers and personally the most problems ive seen have been with the ford line. So quit making asinine comments, tell the guy congrats for getting a car that he enjoys for a great price.

Answer: He's a troll, probably with emotional issues not addressed.

It could also be along the same lines of if someone is overly homophobic they are mentally insecure with their own sexuality. Maybe he regrets buying his ms3 and hes bitter about it, instead of outright bashing the ms3 every chance like most bitter car owners do hes bashing everything else instead to bring it down to the same level he feels his ms3 is at.

ok i'll chalk that one as a loss.

uhm, it would be nice but unfortunately no.

Then why are you so adament about how big of a piece of crap it is.

again, factor my reasons why i bought my speed3 (and im sure why everybody else bought theirs).

Do you go stop people in neons at stop lights and parking lots to tell them how big of a mistake they made?

i could, but i don't want to hold everybody in traffic. i just laugh and pity them at the same time.

i think pontiacs are great! acutally considering buying a trans am or a firebird. i highly praise the new g8 too. and oh wait, DID I MENTION SOMETHING ABOUT PONTIACS? W T F

All car companies have the same issues, thats why there is multiple car lines, some people prefer different things.

thanks. i learned something new.

Yeah Jared, whenever you get the time man. Btw, going to N.Jersey wednesday to get a custom Dyno tune. I'll post Dyno results if anyone is interested.

PS I'm keeping everything contained in this thread beings as to not litter the forum with 'several' non MS3 posts

PPS Btw, what are you doing friday? I'm heading to Atco Raceway again to try running w/ the new tune and may deflate the tires a few lbs. Let me know if you want to meet me over there. We need more MS3s there- there were 2 SRT-6's, two 350Zs, about 15 Mustangs, 5 Camaros, 3 GTOs, and only 1 MS3.

I check in with this thread because I'm curious about the SRT-6 ownership experience and the car itself. I think that was your whole point of having this thread.

If anything, it might need to be moved the the "My other car" section or something but please keep posting the info and those quarter mile times.

Also post dyno sheets too thanks.

I'm brining my camera gear to shoot me and my friend Chris (11.9 @ 114) getting some work done at TVT Design tomorrow. He's getting Alcohol/Meth Kit installed, a Supercharger Pulley (stacked- already had crank pulley), and a new tune.

I'm getting a baseline dyno, then an off the shelf LET tune, another dyno, and custom tune as needed.

I'll be putting an entertaining video together for the Crossfire forum I'm a member of and will cross post the link here if you guys are interested. I'm hoping to see at least an 12.5 or lower this Friday at the track.

Update: I just got the car tuned and dyno (via Dynapack dyno): it put down
344 whp
360 wtq

I shot some footage of the pulls along with my friend's Alcohol/Meth injection kit. I'll post the video later when I have a chance to cut it.

Dizzin9, I've never seen such a pathetic backpedal. Congrats.

Lazer, I have read the rants on this page and though I agree with all your points, you should not have to keep saying that this thing is an AMG made car. I know it is and that is cool, but for all intensive purposes, you should be able to say it is a Chrysler and you should not be getting the flack that you have.

For all the people saying about customer compaints and poor business practices as some have said, how does this effect Lazer. He bought a car with no problems and to date loves it. Why make him feel like crap? There are people out there that would say we shouldn't be throwing stones with a Mazda vehicle but who cares?

He likes it and I should be able to go on this forum that I love and be able to say I bought a Caliber and I should not get the flack that you have all given him.

Awesome. Man that thing must feel like a rocketship.

What do the Crossfires weigh again?
