I have a 2007 Speed 3.. with a Short ram MS Intake. I have a boost gauge on my car and it is only ready 10 lbs. lately. It used to show 15 to 16 lbs. Thinking it was the gas, but I have gone through 2 gas tanks and it still doing the same thing.. is it the computer? or the wastegate?? anyone else have this problem?

Could be the boost gauge itself. Check all the connections...check for any leaks. Does it feel any different? Try checking the regional forum to see if anyone near you has a Dash Hawk that they would let you use to see what you're really making.

i didnt hear any leaks.. the car does feel slower.. i can pin it all through first and second, and it doesnt even spin the tires

Well, you have to remember that the ECU limits boost in first and second down to 10-12psi. You need to look at a 3rd or 4th gear pull.

Does ur car sound different? Any other mods?
I had a problem like this last summer no one could help me with.

i have a short shifter, that is it.
you still havent gotten it fixed?? im afraid the dealer wont do anything about it if i take it.. i just tell them its slower??

I was feeling the same way with my car too recently, I have 5800 miles on the car, and have been hearing about people saying that you need to check the boost tube clamps. So I popped the hood and tightened up the worm clamps and sure enough went for a drive and had all the power back I lost.

On a car this new, I REALLY hope that's not the case.

I'd guess boost leak, as I previously stated (and as other have said). Just follow the flow of air from the turbo to the engine and tighten any clamps you see while checking the couplers for signs of tears or rips. The stock boost tubes are pretty weak, so I'd suggest upgrading those in the future.

If you are boosting only 10PSI then you're running off the Waste Gate only and not the internal boost controller. Check the WG and make sure both line are attached and not leaking.

If they are attached, take your car in as your boost controller is screwed up.

This is exactly what would happen if the wastegate solenoid (electronic boost control valve) was disconnected (or otherwise not functioning).

Since the boost is holding at 10 PSI, the wastegate itself should be OK.

A problem with the wastegate solenoid would show up on an OBD scan but it would not trigger a MIL.

Interesting....My boost was around 10 psi as well after my inlet install but after tightening some stuff down it's ok. It still doesn't go up as quick as it used to but it gets there

so it couldnt get the wastegate nc it would show a cel right?? ill check all the clamps and hoses when i get home
