tampa dealer gripe

:
06 LS MS6
07 BM GT (shell has been struck from the roll)
I had the TPMS come on after washing the car, and was concerned rear bumber was loose along with that they do the " full circle service check " when I brought it to fermans in brandon

picked up car in 4 hours
TPMS is fine, needs to flicker to be the bad unit.
bumper is fine, they are all like that.

on the way home, noticed the hood floppin, grrr, stop, latch hood. then, on straight road, notice steering wheel home spot was a bit right of center, not like that before.
did a quick 4 wheel with my laser level and found the driver rear toed in, easy to fix. Different system from the rolla but easy to use. musta bumped it goin on the rack
couple days later wash the car and poke around under the hood, only had it a coupel weeks, find the oil at the low limit line, the coolant well below the line, and one of the air filter clasps undone

no reply to a (pleasant)voice mail left for the service rep who inprocessed the car

Guess I will try wesley chapel mazda next

thanks for the grammatically correct post, your ability to use no capital letters is awesome

good luck at the other dealership i guess?

**** caps.
**** mazda...they are getting worse and worse it seems. they don't give a s*** about you or your car. there are stories like this all over the place. it's horrible

I have had great service at Wesley Chapel Mazda. That is where I bought my car and they have fixed any thing I have asked them to with out question. I got the paint and interior protection package with my car. I got a scratch on my hood...got a brand new hood. My mirror was not right, got a brand new mirror. Plus I got a free rental while they fixed my car.

im interested in your "loose bumper" comment...how is it loose? can you get more descriptive cuz i think that ppl should check theirs and report back in to you so you can get a better idea than the dealer just saying "they're all like that"

Sorry to hear about your situation, hopefully theyll fix it for you. Tyrone square mazda in St. Petersburg has a great service department. I have all my regular maintanence done there . They dont mind my mods either!! I know its not in Tampa, but its near by and worth the drive for good/mod friendly service IMO.

You gotta sell the car.... it's a POS. Why anybody would by a MS3 is beyond me as they're all crap.

Furthermore, it sounds like once you've bought the POS MS3, the dealers don't want to play ball.

It's a total loss dude. Get out while you can.

I only bought my '09 MS3 in September, but I bought it from Ferman, because they were closest to me, geographically speaking. And since I was planning to buy an extended warranty, that was important, as I didn't want to have to schlep to Wesley Chapel or Pinellas County for service. (I'd been trudging to Palm Harbor for MINI service for 5 years & had enough.)

So far, I have only been in for one service visit. Oil change (dealer was actually cheaper then oil shops & independents for full syn svc) and a sticking gas cap. They found the gas cap problem was bad threads on the filler neck, gave me the option to wait, or get a loaner for the day or overnight. I waited, only took 90 minutes or so. No problems with my one service visit.

I'm hoping the OP just got a tech who was having a rare bad day. But I will be keeping a sharp eye on Ferman when I return for service in the future, just to be sure.

So far, no complaints here. Wish the OP could say the same.

hmmm... weird man. i bought my 09 from ferman of brandon and had NO problems yet. petty cool with service manager an everything. he didnt mind my CAI or HKS bov. no complaints from me yet. sucks to hear that... good luck.

i can see how the dealership might be responsible for most of the problems, but unless they did an oil change / radiator service [not stated] how in holy blazes can you

find the oil at the low limit line, the coolant well below the line,

:confused::confused::confused:

somebody ain't telling the whole story...?

I cannot tell you exactly what's included in a "Full circle service check" as stated by the OP, but "full circle" sure sounds like it should include at least checking fluids, if not topping off. Heck, if that doesn't include an oil change, the low oil level should have been a red flag for them to upsell it.

That's how.

IMHO, if yer relying on the rare dealership visit & a 'full circle service check' to measure oil + coolant level, you shouldn't own/operate a sports car. i check all my fluids everytime i gas up, that way the car would be at low levels for a max of 250 miles, if that.

not to say that the stealership didn't screw up, but you gotta own the responsibility of visual inspection. oil, coolant, tires, ps & brake fluids are all easily checked. (attn)

i second the 'dealer gripe' idea. my chuckleheads tried giving me someone else's speed when i picked mine up this week. i overheard a corporate guy talking to a service team leader how mazda na is planning to roll out some loyalty program by improving customer svc. not going to hold my breath. love my car but cringe when i go in for service.

well, if it's newer / less miles miles than yours, why not? (lol2)

seriously, that's a MAJOR ****-up, about as bad as it gets. (screwy)(braindead(protest)

newer / less miles (<6K) / and a gt would have been cool, but i love my sport. i'm in the dc area and will go to another dealer next time.

in addition to fixing the sirius, i was there to get a replacement cowl bolt cover which they forgot to replace when they installed the felt cowl squeaker tabs during my last visit. guess i'd rather have that missing than the drain plug.

fool me twice, shame on me.

grabbing the lower lip a few inches from the wheel well and tugging out and back, it moves alot, and easily. they said they checked two others on the lot with similar results
