got another call from the insurance company earlier today. they quoted an additional 2900 worth of damage to the existing 4000 they quoted before. AND they're saying it will take about 2 weeks from today for the repairs to be completed. but i'm not so sure about that timeline. i think it will be done much sooner. so yea i think i beat justinlansdale's record of 6000 something in damage and still not totaled.
tell me about it... im here waiting
my body shop guy was straight enough to leave the insurance quote which was $5100 but he said it should be at least $6100 worth of work
i still need to find 2 Rx- 8 wheels and tires tho...
they also told me 2 weeks but i doubt it.. and i told him to take his time cuz i want it back perfect!

yea so do i but this is my DD...luckily i'm off school this week but after that it's gonna be annoying as ****.
lol, at least he got updates from the ins company
when I got rear ended I got no updates at all...it went to the shop, and then I got it back over a month later...I kept driving by and seeing the car outside but I was always in a hurry whenever I went by cause I had to get to class or something, so I never got to ask them how it was going...other than that, it took like 3 extra weeks to finish it and the shop didn't even replace the rear bumper like they said they would, though they charged the insurance company for it...bad business if you ask me
btw raj, if you ever need body work done don't go to cooks collision nearby tracy mazda...they do good work, but they try to pull the wool over your eyes a lot

i ass-ended a minivan. was doing 40 mph when i slammed on the brakes so i'd say i hit it doing 25 maybe. completely f'ed up my whole front end. over 4k in damage. when i took it to progressive for their estimate they ripped the front bumper almost all the way off...and slammed it back on so when i was on my way to work it fell off and i barely made it there after slamming it back on myself. so once i got to work i had a tech look at it and he said it had to come off. so then i drove around without a front bumper for about a week or so LOL. not to mention i have a cai which was chillin out in the open ready to suck up water, and it snowed once and rained once yet it didn't. <3 injen
so long story short my car hates me now and i'm mspless for a week or so until it gets fixed. (sad1)
and now i'm told the damage is up to 6900.

how the **** did you do 6900? is the whole front of your car missing haha cuz damn that is alot of damage
i have no idea how i did that much damage since i wasn't going that fast at the time of impact. but yea the whole front end is ****** up.

damnn and yeah this is my DD. I'm 19 years old haha i cant afford another car.
LUCKILY, my uncle and cousin had a 1994 Civic project car that theyre lending me. If not I would KILL myself
lucky man. i just turned 20. i work at a honda dealership where we have close to 50 loaner cars given out to customers each day and i am the one that cleans them out and s*** when they come back...and they refuse to give me a loaner just to get to school and OH YEA work.

Nothing huge but my wife paid for me to get my windshield replaced. Yay! No more stress cracks. They've only been there for the past 6 months or so. Safelite is good people.

Just received my SLS Midpipe w/ high flow cat! Should be receiving my Turbolife FMIC in the next week or so, and still hunting a 03.5 front lip! Will be a good next couple weeks for my MSP ! Hopefully will be getting her dyno'd after all these parts go on.. just finished breaking in my Exedy Stage 1 clutch and i LOVE it!
