Hey guys.. I have a mazda 6s 2004 hatchback. Whenever I drive, my car vibrates.. but I can only feel it really strong on the drivers side.. I got my buddy to drive it and when sitting on the passengers side, I didn't feel anything. Well.. slightly, but not as bad as it is on the drivers side...

could it be just balancing the tyres?

or is it my shocks? suspensions?

seat of pants or steering wheel?? Could be a tire out of bal. slipped/broken belt in a tire. bent rim, bent susp components... Best bet is to have the car checked out by a competent mechanic...

I dont really know.. its just that when I drive.. yeah the vibration goes all the way to the back especially on the left hand side of the car.. steering vibrates a bit.

ask mazda to put on a pair of wheels from a rental car and take it for a run, if its smooth you just narrowed it down a whole lot.

Is the vibration speed sensetive, ie. does it increase as you speed up? If its not always present, at what speed does it start, and when does it stop? Do you feel pulsation in the brake pedeal when you are lightly braking? Or is the vabration there during part throttle cruzing? Need more details.

Well i noticed that as soon as I start driving it, meaning whether it be slow, fast, or if im just cruising, it doesnt have to be when i accelerate.. theres a slight vibration.. when im just rolling, like say at 10mph or even 20mph.. i feel like one of my wheels are going over small bumps on the road... but yeah when i increase speeds the vibration is a bit more..

Hope this info helps..

Yeah, mazda up here in Burlington have completely dis-owned me.. long story.. I have an extended warranty with Ford ESP. And they are the ones who have been taking care of the car uptil now, but I doubt they would cover this. However, yeah I will try what you suggested. ...

So, the mechanics got to me after doing some tests, and they said that the two alloys on the left hand side of my car were slightly bent. So thats why I felt all that vibration on the left hand side..

So any recommendations on what wheels i should go with? heres a pic of my car
