anyone know the correct recirculation size fitting for the greddy rs Bov for the mazdaspeed 3 i know they have like 5 different sizes 19m,29mm,32mm and 34mm i have a spear Rs that im gonna use .

29mm will be tight fit.
32mm will slide on easily.
SU has the 29mm listed with the BOV's/BPV's they sell.

Get the one from SU, I purchased that one on my greddy rs that I sold and it screwed right on and worked perfectly, no worries!

yeah i have the street unit one and it works great with no problems. call mark at street unit he will take care of you good;)

just order mine

did you use teflon tape on the adaptor ? cause it looks like as if it may leak and whats up with the oring in the middle of the atp adaptor flange ?

The O-ring needs to face down at the cold pipe. Then you use a gasket that should come with the valve itself to go between the valve and the adapter.

I dont even have the gasket there and I'm fine and use no teflon tape anywhere on my type-s

like uhateit said the recirc adapter has a little o-ring that does the job remember the air takes the path of least resistance no leaking problems that i know of

No he's talking about the O-ring on the adapter flange that the bov mounts on to.

Put the rubber ring facing down at the cold pipe and the other side you just ut the paper gasket that comes with your bov between the valve and the adapter. I dont have any gasket there right now and mine is fine.

when I had the fake ebay greddy type-s this is the adapter, the red papery thing you can see once installed:

when I put the real greddy type-s on I didnt use the gasket

The one that came with the greddy was blue and thicker.

you have made it pretty clear now i ordered the adaptor along with the greddy rs recirculate adaptor last night on SU site

single spring mod

no problem. If you have the greddy type-s is has a neck that sticks out so you dont need a recirc adapter but still need the mounting flange.

I find it best to work with the single spring mod (remove the smalled internal spring), here is a link to that and why its better:

hey will the single spring mod work on the RS or just the type S? intresting info

it will work for both as far as I know.

Here is the reason for it, from my experience. I had both springs in, I would turn the top screw to give the right spring tension for proper open/close and release of air. But it would surge (bad for the turbo) when I had both springs in with barely any turns.

I took out the smaller spring from inside, and had FULL adjustment of the screw, No surging until I hit 7 full turns of the top screw. So I had up to 7 turns of adjustment to my tastes and driving habits. I had it at 3, 4, 5, 6, 6 1/2 before I found my personal best setting at 6 1/2 turns from first contact with the spring perch inside.

I dont know if the type-RS has the same issue, but other people who have had that would know.

i will have to investigate both setups i am taking the RS off my 1990 vw g60 turbo it was in great working order never had any chatter maybe its just specfic on this motor

i run both springs no problem. you will want to take of the top hat and clock the it so the vac port doesnt hit the hood. but yeah try it with two mine is fine.
