Anybody know the build dates or serial numbers of the affected vehicles?
Oh well, if it applies I'll get it done at the same time as the transmission TSB and the interior garnish TSB.
April 23 makes one year of ownership, so I'd better get it in soon. Don't want to hear any BS about something being covered only 12/12,000, like some adjustment items and anything else they dream up.
I like the car, but frankly, I don't care much for Mazda customer support or the service department where I bought. At least, though, they have one or two Mazda master techs. The dealer close to my house (Mazda and Lincoln) doesn't even have one master tech on the payroll. No way I'm letting them swap out the temp control module and reflash my transmission.
Still, I'm satisfied overall. The only thing that would sway me away from another Mazda purchase is the resale value. When I bought in April '08, $6K off sticker was the best you could do. Within three months of that, folks were getting $10K off sticker. At that point, it became more plausible to buy new rather than fiddle with a slightly used CX-9.
My '08 CX-9 MSRP'd at $41,405. If I wholesaled it today, I'd be lucky to get $20K for it. That's depreciation above and beyond market conditions, and I believe it's due to Mazda's fire sale pricing. For those who got $10K off list, your view might differ, and probably so would mine.
