Insurance usually covers hail damage. You just have to pay your deductible.

insurance then find a local PDR expert. PDR guys make a living on actually chasing hail storms across states etc...

that's what i'm wondering. if it might be cheaper than my deductible to have it fixed somewhere else... probably about 12 spots now that i've seen it in the day light.

The usually go off the size as "quarters", "dimes", "nickel", and "penny" size hails lols.

Id take it to your dealer/body shops and get a quot to fix it. Based on price I would decide my action from there. Maybe offer to pay in cash. I have gotten some good deals in the past doing that.

+1 on the cash offer with the pros. Is your paint chipped or just small little dents that only you will see? Might not be worth the claim.

no chips, just small rounded dents. the hail was about the size of large marbles. all i can think of was how much it sucked to be at work at the time and not being able to go outside to move the car....

I have a small palm sized dent on my roof from a soccer ball at the park. I have heard you can heat it up with a hairdryer and then hit it with a duster can upside down and it may pop out, anybody tried this?

Call a "Dent Wizard" or paintless dent removal company. They can get them all out if no paint is chipped or cracked...

There's going to be more than 12 there. I promise you. The PDR rep will run a light over the car and it's going to look like swiss cheese. I'm an adjuster and mine was in a hail store last summer. I was only able to see one with the naked eye, but there ended up being 32 on my roof and one on my quarter.

Call it into insurance, it's a comp claim so it shouldn't impact your rates

Chasing Hail is what I used to do for a living. Just make sure whoever you have fix it.... ask to see photos of work. There are a lot of hacks out there. Yes. for every 10 that the normal eye sees.... the light will reveal 50 more. And the hair dryer and duster can trick.... its about as true as rubbing dry ice on it. You could always take the money and run too... get some free mods??? Hail = free money that falls from the sky.

that works fairly good. my mom backed up into my car about 2 years ago and put a huge dent in the front bumper. the dent was so big that I could put a women's sized basketball in it, and it would hold it. one of my friend's told me about using a heat gun, and so I got one from school for a couple of hours and parked the car in the garage and it took about 20 minutes because I had took the bumper off, and it took a while to get it hot enough but it works. My paint didn't chip, but there is a small line(like a couple cm long) for the top part of where the dent was.

i didn't use a hair dryer, but it could work with a garage and a lot of time, and I would recommend bending it back slowly and not hammering it. I only hammered towards to end, such as the big dent became a smaller dent about 1/4 the size of the original dent.

so it's been a week and the insurance company took a look at it. the damage is around a little less than $1300. so i guess i'm getting a check less my deductible. i might just get the roof fixed but really want it all to go away. hmmmm
