anyway, an sri needn't cop a huge heat soak from the engine - you just need to be smart about how you do it. shielding to prevent hot air being blown over the filter by the radiator fans - correct placement to keep it away from any major heat sources... when parked it'll heat load , but it'll cool off quite quickly once you stab the throttle. you can also run an sri with an airbox and cold air duct if you want - best of both worlds.
The benefit of an sri is obviously throttle response, and way cooler induction noise.
