o i ment the washers were on top of the plate between the bolt and plate, seemed as if the bolt was too long for mount
oh yes, you could of done that if didn't want to use the shorter bolt that MEdieval sent everyone.

cool thanks, maybe a couple hundred more miles will help the mount noise a little bit too
i had mine for about 3 weeks, the vibes i have no issue with kinda like it, but the noise is horrible, ive got a supercharger 3rd gear haha, ive been told to just live with it cus thats the way its suppose to be, but idk if i wanna hear it all the time. no one get me wrong, love the mounts, when i had them on they were deffinetly worth it
impressions of traction bars
Hmmm...so did the noise get any less?
They will never carry these mounts.
Thanks...
As for impressions? Well let me begin by saying...
THIS THING IS LOUD!!!!!!
Yes, I agree. I've installed mine and the noise is horrindous. You can hear every noise that comes from the transmission, even while in neutral, stopped with the clutch out. Gear whine is audiable almost all the time. I can hear each gear engage when shifting. The actual Shifting however is most excellent!
I'm pretty sure this noise being caused from the mount binding when the bolts are being tightened. If you look at the factory mount (and the other aftermarket ones too) the clearance holes on the upper plate are rectangular and much larger than the studs that protrude thru them. The upper mount on the new one is a thru hole barely larger than the stud. It was difficult to get the plate over the studs (I ve read this from several other people too)and then the bushing into place in the upper mount. In fact the plate wasn't really laying flat on the body after I got the bolt for the bushing in. I'm know that when I put the 4 bolts on it and pulled the mount down it put a side bind on the bushing, and in turn put a lot of side force on the studs. I'm sure that is where all the noise is coming from.
I plan to take my upper plate of this weekend and machine the clearance holes so that they are rectangular openings like the original plate, so that there is some adjustment on the completed assembly and that there is no side force being exerted on the studs from the plate. I'm 90% sure this will cure the vibration problem. I will post an update after I do this as to what happens to the vibrations.
As a side note it didn't take anywhere near 125 ft lbs of force to take my recalled factory bolt out, and after half a turn I took the bolt out by hand. I don't see any evidence of thread locker on it either. I've noticed the shifting getting a bit vague in the last few months and an odd steering feedback on a left to right transistion on my daily drive to work around that same time period. I'm sure the bolt was in the process of working loose.
