What have you done to your P5 today?

These are my next wheels only in a 17x8.5. I'd already have them if I wasn't replacing my turbo+mani+dp. May or may not powdercoat the centers red.

Can you colormatch the wheel color with your car? They look a little pink in the pic. I think they would look good in the same color.

Eh, I like how the RPF1's look. They're a decently lightweight and strong wheel unlike the Racing Harts. Don't get me wrong, I love how the RH's look but their weight and size just aren't right for the P5. The offset is at least 5 mm too high and they weight about 5 lbs too much per wheel

I'd say that for the price, they're a bit more than 'decently light' lol
+1

They're about 1.5 lbs heavier than the Volk CE28N's of the same size I was looking at earlier and about 1/2 the price as well. I just wish I could have gone down to 16's. Would have been even cheaper and lighter but the +43 mm offset had me worried. Not the +45 is too much better...

They are slightly pink in the pic but they would be powdercoated red. Absolutely lighter than most other affordable wheel! Which will be offset by heavy stickier 235 rubber so...

+43 would have been fine! Its only 2mm.
Don't think it would have rubbed...
I don't know. The accepted convention is that anything below 45 mm will rub. Actually it's been advised not to go any lower than +48 on P5's when using a 215-series tire. The +45 rule is typically applied to the 205-series tire. Now before you go off saying I shouldn't follow what everyone else says know that I don't have coilovers or a good means by which to roll my fenders right now (don't really want to either). That being said, if they did rub Id be kind of screwed. I don't want to destroy my fenders or a brand new set of tires - especially ones I've spent nearly two weeks looking for a decent price! +45 should push the wheels out nicely for my needs and tastes. Other reason I didn't go with the 16's is because the tires would have cost $120+ per tire. My goal was to spend the least amount of money possible and I think I met that.

How's +45 sound?

iirc you can fit a chunky 215 tire w/o rubbing w/ a +45 / 7" wheel. I had 215/45/16s on 16x7 +43s and it would rub in the rear, but only just, and only when I was really pushing the car (auto-x) or when it was loaded up in the rear.

Just signed up for a group buy on some Autoexe replica grilles and eyelids
