ok i been reading and doing some reseach! almost EVERYONE say that MM is a must have... but i dont get it. it adds vibration to the shifter, so wouldn't that be kinna annoying? well my main question is... What is the main purpose of getting the MM? would it make the drive a lot smoother or something since the engine is not moving as much? oh and if i'm convince, ill probably get it at protege garage, which bushing do ppl get? polyurethane(softer/street) or delrin(stiffer/race)? thx in advance!

It holds your engine in place more solidly, noticed especially when shifting. Yes, you do have more vibrations, but its a trade off, more vibes for less engine flex. The poly will have less vibes and won't be quite as stiff as the delrin, which will have more vibes.

I wouldnt say the vibrations are in the shifter. The engine doesnt rock in the engine bay so its using that energy to put power down to the ground and the excess vibrations go through the car instead of the crappy rubber in the stock mount. I have the TRZ poly and love it, one of my favorite mods.

would the MM make it a smoother drive since the engine is not moving back and forward? lol

Yes, it will reduce wheel hop and the power lag when shifting. Paired with shifter bushings which will make the shifter way smoother youve got two cheap mods that make a world of difference

interesting... my main goal is to make my MS3 a smoother ride cause ppl been complaining how it jerks when i shift and i'm pretty tire of that! -_- what's a good brand for shifter bushings? thx for all you guy's help!!!

doesnt matter which brand shifter bushings you buy, they are the same. TWM and SU have them so where ever you can get them cheaper. Or just start punching complaining passengers.

I have the TRZ MM right now and it definitely does vibe. Upon the initial installation and start up it vibrated like a mad bull in a cage. It takes some time to break it in, mine already has. From what I've read however, you can pick up the CP-e MM and it won't have all them vibes to boot.

I have the Delrin TRZ mm and the vibs are noticable but i like them. The performance out weighs the vibs and are well worth it. U will only get vibs at idle and when taking off in 1st...the rest is butter unless u give it alot of gas below 2k in a high gear ( sounds like subwoofers ) Once you take the stock mount out and compare them, you will realize why this upgrade is a must, the stocker has alot of empty space that allows the tranny to shift back and forth causing noise (clunks 1-3)and inaccurate shifts. The shifter bushings make the shifter feel stiffer and reassuring when you shift. Cheapest and needed mods.

What exactly jerks when you shift? Some people just aren't smooth at all. If you're not smooth, it could be your timing when you clutch/shift/gas. The MS3 has a good amount of torque and if you don't apply throttle smoothly after you shift, your passengers heads will bobble all the time.
