I have a question. Will a mech. Boost guage cause me to loose boost because the tube to the guage is really long I tapped into the tube that goes to the bpv ?

ok thanks guys. I am tryin to narrow things down , I still can't find this leak it's drivin me nutsss.

ok it's only peaking to 16 psi then it will drop to 9 really quick,Then it will slowly start to climb back up to about 11 12 and that's it all it will hold .

alll this starts at about 3k in 3rd then by 3100rpm i am down to the 9psi and it is constantly building and droping i just dont kno ?

I sounds like you may have lost the ECU wastegate control. Check your wire going to the waste gate solenoid.

Mech gauges suck! Electric FTW. I made the mistake of running a mech gauges years ago on my first turbo car. Ever since then i run prosport electric gauges. They cost about the same too!

i am trying to think ,would i of disconnected the ECU wga controll to put on the turbo inlet or wastegate by any chance ?

i am pretty sure this is related to the other thread that you started correct?? I am still thinking that the gauge itself may be the issue. have you actually noticed any performance loss or are you just noticing the pressure drop on the gauge??

I bet it is not the gauge itself but the line to it. Those cheap ass nylon tubes always get kinked or cracked or melted... Thats my experience with them. Go electric !

1) Remove gauge
2) Test drive
3) Evaluate
If still the same, it's not the gauge
If it's better, toss the gauge.

i removed the guage and a little difference but not much 1and 2 are really peppy but once i hit 3rd it l just goes no hard pull or torque steer, like i am use to ?

A boost leak isnt going to be gear specific. I think at this point its in Your head. You saw crazy reading from a crappy gauge and now you have it stuck in your head there is a problem.
