Rally Armor owners - winter experiences?

I think all of us here in MA with MS3s have URs lol.

i know right? i spin the wheels sometimes just to see how much i can build on the flaps to see what i saved from smashing up my clear coat on the rocker panels. lol. i dont worry about all the salt and sand i hear raining inside my wheel wells either. i know the parts that get ruined are safe for another day.

Drove from VA to NH through a total noreaster. (thats a wintery mix blizzard for all you warm climate dudes). people flipped over all along the highways. had to spend the night in connecticut along the way it got so bad. anyways the reason i got the rallyarmors was for this exact reason. they protects my rockers and bumper from so much snow, sludge, ice, and salt. it was too cold in NH to wash my car the two weeks i was there. when i finally got back to va, there was no damage to the body panels that would otherwise be left totally unprotected. i felt alot more confident driving through puddles the day i put them on. as someone else said on this forum. seeing all the crud caked on those things and not on your car really proves they"re worth the price. but the rally/look has kinda grown on me. if you live in a winter wonderland.. order them now

I agree... in fact I bought a set and just can't being myself to put them on now because I think they look like s****

You're so right. I'm taking mine off. Just don't complain how shitey that rock's going to make ur windshield look when I pass. Oh yeah, I forgot they don't have snow, ice, salt, rocks, etc. on the roads in Florida.

easy there graffy boy.....i was just qouting an owner....like urself....who has them and thinks they look like s*** and now refuses to put them on there and thus thought it was funny as hell. Im sure if i lived some where that snowed i would have these on...from the day it snowed, til the day it melted, not a second longer. Better yet....if i lived somehwere that snowed i just wudnt drive my speed during the winter. Now get started on ripping those off ur ride, cuz like the other guy said...they look like shiteeeeeeeeeeeeee.

Rocks ruin your car when its more than snowey out. rain can bring rock off the side roads in florida too. esp. those daily downpours. plus...as far as using the car for the sumemr months only...its a 25k car. seriously? the thing will be worth like....4 grand in 5 more years. not happening.
and next time dont just stop into a thread just to drop a huge LMFAO message and tell people theyre cars look like s*** and expect people not to say anything. so if you dont have anything constructive to say do everyone else a favor and unsubscribe to this thread/

anyway back on topic, these mud flaps prove to be functionally sound for sure. i have yet to hear anything hit my paint since ive had them on. i like the way they look personally. im not sure as said before if i would spend money on the basics because they seem, from other peoples expierences, not to be holding up well. i have the ur flaps and they work as sweet as they can. i love seeing all the snow and dirt and salt under the flap and not plastered on my rocker and rear.

+1 I refrain from responding to nonesense as I use this place as a site to share what works and what doesn't work and tips and mistakes... but in this case I'm backing you up they do a great job. I can literally "hear" (or not "hear") the difference. The WRX'rs I see here in NE most of them run RA flaps too.

ill say whatever i want thanks, its not ur forum and u cant make me :D I mean really, how old are you friend? who the **** cares if i think your car looks like s*** or vice versa? Sheeeesh lolllllllllllll

I drive my car everyday, however if it snowed i wouldn't, not because its worth 25k, but because its probably impractical being so low. I live in florida that has rocks on the road just like wherever you live. My tires are also flush with the body of the car and occasionally shoot up s*** yet i still dont have the flaps. Why? Cuz i think they look like s***. Who cares what i think though. I saw something i thought was funny and laughed. If it bothers you maybe u should unsubscribe.

You are probably heated cuz u have them, in which case your car looks like ass in my opinion as well as the opinion of someone else who also has them...just so im not being biased ;) If you dont have them then consider yourself lucky.

Sorry to have ticked u off, life goes on though so just forget that I said they look like shiteeee.

Thanks for the laugh John Blutarski :D

Just to get back on the right fooot....

...I am sure they are soundly functional being that they stick off the car like barnyard door, however being that this thread is about functionality then you are all right, they rock, and I am wrong for sticking my nose in here.

i dont care if you say they dont look good in your opinion....its the way you went about saying it, (or agreeing about someone elses comment) obnoxiously and inconsiderate. its ok to express your opinion....just do it respectfully please. thanks for listening.

i used to live in florida. in st augustine actually. i know around there right by the beach it was one hell of a sandy place. i used to have a....errr....honda prelude....cough cough. and i remember the thing was impossible to keep clean. plus the sound of the dirt/stones running along the side were...less than favorable. if i had this car i wouldnt be able to deal with it. i dont know where you live....inland or seaside....but as my experiences prove mudflap worthy.

I hear you and I apologize...i honestly just found that line halarious....i bought something and i cant bring myself to put it on cuz it looks like s____. I mean come on guys, who wouldnt think that was funnny, i almost fell outta my chair...whether it were flaps, a set of rims or a stupid hood sticker. It was just funny. BUT, you are right, my bad. Thanks for being a good sport :D

with Blizzaks and mudflaps, I rip through the snow on my way snowboarding. I have almost as much fun driving this car to the mountain as I do once I'm there. To not drive this car in the winter I just can't understand. I guess that's why shaggy's down in Florida and I'm killin it in Oregon.

But hey shagger, good point on why should I give a **** if you think my car looks like s****. I'm leaving them on so ur windshield is safe from me. (wedge)

See what is going on in the bottom photo on your basic flaps. Notice how its starting to flare out just a bit. Well trust me it will get worse as time goes on and soon they will be flared out like your going 80 mph when parked. That is what happened to me with the basics and then I upgraded to the better ones. I delt with the company and they charged me 88 bucks for the good flaps new hardware and shipping complete. Its to bad because the basics looked good but over 6 months of daily driving they looked like wings sticking out.

Maybe it will not happend ot you but who knows.
