2007 Mazdaspeed3 Gt
Good morning fellow forum members, I just got the CP-E Boost Cut eliminator Flash done to my car and this is why I’m in such a great mood this morning!

Lets go over some history, I am lightly modded with a CAI, Exhaust, BPV and the CP-E Full Throttle Flash. As a lot of you saw with my previous posts that I was getting crazy boost cut, it basically made my car NO FUN TO DRIVE!! As the motor felt sluggish too.

I talked to some of the people from CP-E and found out that they just finished working on this Flash for the Mazdaspeed 3,6 and cx-7 that would get rid of the boost cut. I got the flash done ASAP and I am proud to say it’s freaking awesome! I get no boost cut whatsoever, it was 21 degrees outside today and I was driving WOT to work with ZERO boost cut.

My final thoughts on this flash is that it’s a must have, I don’t care if you are lightly modding or heavily modding your car, this flash has made driving my speed3 so much more fun to drive. Also, my car doesn’t feel sluggish anymore. I was complaining to a lot of people about how the speed3 just feels so sluggish during the winter and I had not clue why. But now it pulls so much harder and with no boost cut, this car drives like it should. CP-E FTW!!!

Sorry for the lack of professionalism in this post, I’m really excited about this flash.

P.S. Sorry CP-E if this is not what you will be naming this new flash, but this is the name that I could think of.

After going to CP-e's site, I assumed he went to the facility in Beltsville, MD.

Yes, after talking to the guy's over at CP-E and telling that I'm so sick and tired of the boost cut I get every time I want to accelerate, they told me about this new flash that they are working on (not the wide open throttle flash) and I went over to there facilities to get it done. It has completely got rid of all my boost cut, none at all and there is no chance of it coming back. Its supposed to be really cold by the end of this week, like near 0 deg F, I will post some videos of me going WOT with zero boost cut.

I don't want to say how much I paid for it because I am really not sure how much they are going to post it for. Most likely they will post it for the price I got it for, but I don't want to stir up any pricing conflicts. This thing is worth every penny man

So let me get this straight. You originally paid for a CPE full throttle flash which consequently made you experience frequent boost cut problems and your car "no fun to drive" and to "fix" this, they made you PAY for another reflash?

That sounds absolutely retarded so please correct me if I'm wrong.

Yikes, any where near that number doesn't seem worth it to me.

Why don't they release this stuff as flashes for the standback?

The CPE full throttle flash didn't cause boost cut? I had boost cut before that, I just got that flash a few weeks ago. Boost cut is what mazda put into our ECU's for no crazy reason, and anyone that is mildly modded has probably experience it when trying to go WOT.

I couldn't continue modding without the boost cut eliminator flash. It's retarded mazda engineers that programmed the boost cut, this gets rid of it all together.

I'm assuming you are pretty much stock and have never experienced boost cut?

If you originally purchased the FCF, then you can send it back and they won't charge you for the reflash.... this is what was communicated anyway...

Don't need to pay twice..... that's ridiculous!

No you pay for the Flash at $499. You stipulate what you want (Full Throttle or Cut Fix) and the one you don't choose is $35 extra on top of the $499. Each and every time they do an update you have to pay. The flat fee is $35 as quoted by CPE in a forum I read today. I'm too lazy to find it right now, but if you don't believe me you can look it up yourself.

so what causes fuel cut or boost cut or what ever?
you have to upgrade your cdfp 1st right?
doesn't the stock turbo become useless after 5500rpm anyways?
seriously, what causes boost and fuel cut and how do you get past the 5500rpm drop off in these cars?

what exactly has cpe done that apparently no one else can?

has cobb figured this out yet?

there are other companies that claim that it's the cdfp that causes the boost/fuel cut, but it's not true, as in I didn't replace my cdfp and with this flash I don't get get any boost cut at all, it was even colder this morning (in the teens) and I went WOT a few times driving to work and had zero boost cut. From my knowledge of this flash, it's impossible to get boost cut now. Which is music to my ears as I could get owned by stock mazdaspeed3's because of my stupid boost cuts.

EDIT: COBB has not figured this out yet

Yes all the new AP maps have the cold weather fix as well. Cobb raised the limit so it does not go off but is still there as a safety measure and CPE completely did away with the limit all together.

It's easy to answer why Mazda put the boost cut into the programing - they'd like to see the motor get out of the warranty period before it disintegrates. Simple as that.

You can buy a small piece for like $35 that physically bypasses the boost cut mechanism. Guy I know has it and loves it.

ATP BCD (if this is what you are referring to) is a piece of crap!! Garbage!!

1. It doesn't work alone. You still need to map clamp the voltage and still no guarantee.
2. Because the thing is solid steel and attached to your map sensor (which is also your Boost Air temperature), it keeps your BAT temps higher than regular and your ECU thinks it's hotter than it really is, resulting in lowered boost, lowered performance.

I still have one.... any want it, it's there's for $25 shipped!!

You must be talking about a MAP clamp. If so, those are pretty sketchy... Personally, I would rather have a CPE flash my ECU so I dont have to rig the car.
