I liked the trapezoidal shaped fogs. That, and everyone was ditching their ES bumpers for the MSP/P5 style so that style was becoming too common IMO.
If I had kept the Protege longer, and if I really had a bug up my butt about changing the body, I'd have put the lip kit on the stock bumper. But I really liked how it looked with the stock body, dropped, 17s, etc. etc.
Also, I didn't want to look like a poseur with a fake MSP and only 130 hp

I agree, i think the facory bumper with the lip is the way to go. This is how my old LX 2.0 looked.

Lame lol jk. I dunno I like the MP3/P5 look a lot better...even if it is only 130hp..the MP3 is only 10hp more and the P5 is the same as the 2.0L so really its not a MSP look alike, nor is it being a "poser"
But to each their own. I may end up getting rid of my car for a truck anyway...I'm getting burnt out on spending money on a car and it being a bottomless pit of my money lol.

I know it didn't come in black. I was saying that the MP3/P5 bumper looks good regardless what color the car is. I'm not concerned about looking like a clone...its my car if I wanna drive around with it on there then why does that matter? I like it and I think it looks good so what? If you don't like it...ok cool for you...don't put it on YOUR car. And I know the P5 didnt come in a sedan...that's common sense.
We all like what we like and thats that....next topic.

And being a "poser" would mean that someone was driving around with a interfooler strapped up to their car telling people they were turbo when they are still NA. Being a Poser means you are trying to portray something you aren't...none of the guys with MSP/MP3/P5 front bumpers on their ES/DX/LX are running around saying they are a MSP/MP3's...so how is that being a poser if they are not claiming they are any of those other cars?
