Another P5 gets some Mazda3 shoes...

I'll post some before and after pics tommorrow. I picked up some Mazda3 17 inchers off of craigslist yesterday for 150 bucks! Two of the tires are even new!

Big question now, what to do with the factory bling? (that is unless I don't like how the 17s look)...

Do what I did.

I kept a set of stockers for when and if one goes flat.

Then, rather than put the donut on, i just throw all the stockers back on till I can pick up a new tire or set of tires

Or, be like me and collect mazda wheels. lol

I've got stockers, MSP Racing Harts, and my latest, RX8 wheels too

I'm not sure actually.

I know the tires are 225/45/18's

I'd have to go measure em. But, if I get up from the computer now, it is to stumble to the bedroom.

I love Jack Daniels

i want the rx8 rims
they are 18x7.5s?

18x8 and IIRC +50 offset. You will have to run 215/35/18 (a 215/40/18 may fit?) and I am pretty sure you will need to run spacers in the back in addition to rolling your fenders if you are lowered.

Here they are... I'm pretty happy with the way they look. They are a little heavier than the 16s and since they are also a 50 profile tire, I notice the slight height increase. I'll be looking for some springs soon for about an inch of drop.

What do you all think? $150 was a steal IMO(moon)

omgsh that is sexy
i love the fat 5's, and the MSP harts.
either of those are sexy for the p5 out of all the stockers, (rx8s are nice too but 18 requires to much work to have them on)
if those fat 5's were polished or gunmetal thatd look sick

Very nice change. It's subtle, but its cool. I hate how small my tiny ass wheels look compared to my mom's MB E350 wheels. I agree on painting them a different color.

My friend has some stockers from his Mazda3 laying around so I might buy those from him when I get new tires.

I have those on my P5. But if you lower the car like I did you will need to run a lower profile tire.

wouldn't lower my car anyway, with the amount of snow here it would be plain bumper suicide!! lol I've read 205/45R17 was the best size with 215/40 they keep the speedo right. what are you running on?

Its a suble change and I like 'em!

I was thinking about some RX8 rims too but figured they may not fit without some extra effort. They would look cool though. I saw a few sets for sale around here.
