hey guys.... I looked around, and followed the msp modders guide, but I now don't know what to do next. I have all the basic bolt ons, but I want more

So far I have..
upgrated smic
Sls hot pipe
split second afc tuned by PG
Boost controller set at 10psi
j pipe back exhaust
626 intake mani
cold air intake

the car runs great, I just want it to be a lil quicker , and right now don't want to spend over
$400 on expensive parts..... so do you guys have any suggestions?

not really performance but what about motor mounts, short shifter, shifter bushings, weld your lsd just stuff like that, or save your money and go forged

well i do have the front awr motor mount, i want more speed lol..
also the car is under warranty for another 30000 miles., so i dont wanna go bigger turbo or anything big like that

methanol injection kit.

Can allow you to run a little more boost safely.

Is your cat removed?

Thunder turbo mani will help squeeze a little more out and its guaranteed for life which you'll probably end up needing unless they sorted out their weak spots.

Like mentioned before I think you should spend the time to get that LSD welded so this extra power doesn't leave you stranded.

i did think of the meth kit... i dont know much about it though.. how much boost can i safely run with it?? and yes... the cats are removed.

about the lsd , like i said the car is mazda certified, so its warrantied for another 30000 miles, or 2011 lol

Is it Mazda certified for the mods you have on it including boost controller? Be wary of warranty claim denial if they can tell you had several of those mods, especially the boost controller. I have a bunch of info on methanol I'll send you. Personally I'd stay around 12 psi with the meth and proper fuel tuning. If you top out your pump or injectors then that's another thing you can look into that isn't more than $400.

They did. There are nearly as many V2's out there as V1's and no problem with any of them.

That's good news. I wasn't by any means bashing them, just giving a heads up as to the problems they had early on.

lol... i got the car compleatly stock about 2 years ago... and yes , i make sure to take off the mods before any visit to the dealer, but good lookin out.and if you could send me some info, than i would appreciate it much..

Throw a wideband on it, and retune for some more boost. For sub 400, you ain't gonna make it much faster doing anything else.

yeah, ive been wanting a wideband for a while now, and i know $400 dont go a long way now a days.... just trying to see if there is anything out there that i cant think of

ya like said before not too much else, i guess just the exhaust mani would be pretty good, maybe an S-pipe while your down there?.. Just my suggestion but the shifter bushings would be a pretty good investment, they took me like 10min to switch out after i got the car jacked up and they made a HUGE difference i think as to how the car shifted.. much cleaner.. was one of the greatest mods just because they were cheap/easy to install and felt great afterwords.. something easy to pick up

From doing my own research, I've found that aside from what you already have, $400 won't get you much more power. A new s-pipe or exhaust mani would be good. But my recommendation would be a WB. You want to make sure you are properly tuned, or all those mods won't mean s***.

Well at least you are being smart about taking off the mods before heading into the dealership. Because especially on a performance vehicle like ours, a lot of dealerships are quick to say "you abused it", and refuse to acknowledge the warranty. Hell, the local mazdaspeed dealer here in Brandon wouldn't even run a diagnostic on my car because it had a cone filter replacing the stock airbox!!

^^ ya that really sucks, and I think that it is sometimes the Dealership that is a pain with that sort of stuff, because when I called the actual warranty company (forgot the name) for the extended warranty and asked if it would be covered they said ya everything should be covered as long as it wasn't a direct result of a mod (such as over boosting and blowing up your engine or something lol).. my guess is because the dealership just wants your money instead of dealing with the insurance warranty company.. kinda lame

but back on topic.. X2 for the WB.. gives you a good sense of mind when you have it in, knowing that your afrs are in a safe range

Edit: also, after that you might just wanna pick some small things up other than power, and then save your money up for forging it when the time comes.. then you get to start on an entirely new power level.. for the most part

I would invest in a WB. The more mods you have done to your MSP the more strain on the motor mounts and monitoring needs to be taken, thus the wideband would come into play to monitor afr's and what not.

Edit: After that I would go with clutch and flywheel in order to get the power to the ground.

i did have a corksport down pipe in the past, but due to some financial problem back than, i had to sell it dirt cheap.
guess ill go with the wideband .. and a clutch once it gets warmer here in chicago..
thanks for the replies guys, if anything else comes in mind, please let me know

wideband will still leave you some coin leftover to put towards your next mod. plus its simply the smart thing to have, especially as it gets colder around here. how is our tune holding up?

the tune is great ken, still still havin fun with stock or near stock speed3's lol.... the msp has 3 under its belt and counting lol.... I don't drive it when its under 35 degrees outside, so I haven't taken the boost controller off yet.. I picked up a 2000 civic to roll around in for the winter. So you gonna get me that deal on a wide band????? family discount?
