I'm actually lower now with full coilovers and 18's instead of 17's which will soon be replaced with something much wider and fender modification!

I have no wheel hop whatsoever and can turn on a dime!

CBR, it is gonna be tough to get the front and back even if you're towing a trailer. Our car is not made to tow. You COULD add some of the suspension stuff for bigger trucks that stiffen the rear end with air.

On the contrary, it tows great. I used my car all season with all of my gear and the bike. Now in the off season, I am going to do some solos in the P5. I just don't want to take the hitch off because I use it all of the time. It does suck that it weighs so much. But it will still be fun.

Just simply going to a stiffer lowering spring, you might solve your problems right there

First of all, I have done it numerous times and it worked perfectly. Secondly, you guys are missing the point. It isn't a money problem. My back is already lower. If I buy lower springs, it will be still be lower in the back. Are there any coil overs that aren't so stiff? Also don't forget, I don't want it too low.

racingbeat springs. they will only drop it a little and they have that non-cut quality ride.

Get coilovers...you can adjust them as you like...you can even get the cheap ones and still be safer than the mauled springs idea you are so keen on doing.

I have a trailer hitch and some things that stay in the back, so the back is already a little lower than the front. I want to lower my car only one inch. So , I was thinking of cutting the stock springs. I have Tokicos on the way. I don't like the ride of coilovers. So I think in my situation cutting my springs would be the best way for me to lower it evenly. I have done it on a number of Hondas with no problems. Any other ideas?

I have eibach prokit on my ride diff worth the money but as far as the stock springs if done right could work but if you mess up somehow holla at me I have a set of stock p5 springs.

if you are getting the tokico blues just get some cheap coilover sleeves? that way you can adjust the ride hight when needed and on top of that the ride isnt that bad!

Just cut them. Most people here are just regergitating the internet tribal knowledge they've picked up and have no actual experience. If the OP has done it before with success, why was there even a question about it? I somehow doubt that by removing ONE coil it will cause the spring rate to go through the roof- the equation for the spring rate constant just doesn't support that. Most people that cut their springs probably cut too much and are actually riding on their bumps stops 100% of the time. Bump stops, especially totally compressed bump stops, have a HUGE spring rate compared to a spring.
