Mazda Specific Shops in the Bay Area??

Hey guys, I actually have a couple friends in the Bay Area that own performance shops and have a lot of experience in all types of vehicles (especially turbo imports), but I was wondering if anyone knows a shop in the Bay Area that tends to be like Mazda, or MazdaSpeed specialists?

Also what Mazda dealers have you guys found to be "mod" friendly, or just good places to have work done? I've been to Oaktree Mazda on Stevens Creek, and they seemed pretty nice and did good work.

And I've also been to Capitol/ Almaden Mazda, and absolutely hated them. They used to be good back int he day before they moved across the street, but now they're just awful.

hey all - count me in as another nor cal ms3. im down south bay in san jose.

tapout - ive had good experience with mr. mazda in campbell if youre looking for a mazda specific shop.

im in roseville, not far from citrus heights. I live close to Autowest Mazda at the Roseville Auto Mall. Ive gone in for some basic stuff (oil change / tsb) and they didnt mention my mods (intake/hks bov) so i dunno if they are cool or just didnt see it haha....


what color is your car? i havent spotted any speeds in this area....but uhh damn we really need to get somethin goin...

I went by Autowest yesterday to pick up an oil filter and crush washer for the first oil change. While I was there I asked one of the service writers if they work on Mazdaspeeds and he said no. I didnt specify what type of work though, just in general.

My MS3 is metro gray with Tracy mazda dealer plates. I have only seen one other MS3 in the area and it was a silver one in Folsom. I like the fact that there arent many speeds around, makes ya feel special......(cool)

After I break her in I was thinking about either waiting for a dyno day or just call up Paul at DBtuned to see what the MS3 puts down in stock form. Maybe we could get some more people together to get a better rate? Something to think about.

^^^ yup, there arent many around here. I finally saw another though, a silver, coming off the freeway, I asked if he was on the forums but he said no and the light turned green so we didnt get a chance to talk.

lol, I think i almost got that one as well, when i was looking, they had a metro grey in the show room. But after talking about the price for 10-15min i wanted the white instead lol.


ALSO: I see a white speed3 in tracy almost every day parked off tracy blvd. i also saw, i think the same one, in stockton at an intersection once. but there both white with same dealer plates so im guessing there the same.

today, i was driving on i205 then on I5 and saw a silver speed3 who took 120 to manteca area, i kept on 5. Looked like it was a girl.

Also saw a red speed3 in manteca the other day at yosemite and unior intersection. They had a black rack on top, anyone?

I saw you. were you coming on the ramp as I drove by? I work in Tracy, I drive out there pretty much 5 days a week or more. Next time you see me just honk. I usually dont honk, because my car is not hard to notice, its ******* bright red, and dumped. If you live in Stockton, then we need to rally up a Mazda meet for the central valley/Sac area people.
