Hey all, just thought I would share my creation for mounting my iPod in my car. What I used was a 1" conduit pipe strap x 2 ($.62 ea.) and a blank electrical plate ($1.??), velcro I had laying around and some shelving liner I had laying around. This utilizes the hand brake and can be removed with no problems.

I tried attaching pics but for some reason the upload kept failing.

props for having the best damn mints on the market.lol love those things. addictive to say the least.

Good spot in terms of reach but isn't it a PITA when you want to use your e-brake? I ended up getting a $25 universal cup holder mount that has adjustable grips to mount my ipod in the rearmost cup holder. I see that you've removed that small panel to run the ipod cable from under the console like I did.

very creative, but, i'd get so pissed i'd throw the ipod out the window when i'd try to use the e-brake

but, props to ya for coming up with something different!!

Somewhat of a PITA, but the location is great as far as controlling the iPod. I had something in my cup holder but that limited the amount of cup holders available and it was more in my way when shifting gears.

Location couldn't be better for an automatic car. You got that spot on, but for a 5 speed and as often as i use my parking brake, it'd kill me

Def. something i'll consider when I get the ipod cable for Callie's car

cool idea...i keep mine in that little "cubby" type area where the nav system controls would normally be. i see you have a remote of sorts in it instead. and i have a type of rubber skin around the ipod so it doens't move or rattle around.

ps...i think there should be a thread with pics of the cupholder/arm rest area to see just what ppl are keeping there. i may start one later
