I understand that they can go over every inch of the car, but what gives them the right to go through personal items such as paper in the console? Even if they had a reason to enter the console, nothing should let them take a personal piece of paper, look at it, look for his name, car, etc. Move it aside, yes. Read it, no. A car and everything in it is personal property.

OP: Go to another dealer or get a lawyer. Keep in mind if you do have to go to court, it will cost a LOT of money. lawyers are not cheep. I spent $1500 on one this year to draft and file a piece of paper, no court apperances at all. Also, as someone already mentioned, why do you have these tickets in your car, especially if it was from your 'younger days'? Only reason I see that you would keep them is to show off how 'bad ass' you are, which would mean that you haven't grown up and are still a danger to me and everyone else. But that's just my perception.

Pistonripper: at leest he kan spel. go tuhrn a rench, smag.

yes i understand it was stupid to leave tickets and timeslips in the center console, there just so old i forgot they were even in there, MY MISTAKE. no im not saving them to show how bad ass i am, they're actually rathering embarassing at this point. too late to go to another dealership as i already paid for the shifter, i need my car for school and work and had no choice. as far as an attorney goes, i have that covered and you guys will hear more about that at a later time. my main issue with all of this is no one ever mentioned any proof of abuse aside from tickets and timeslips, no mechanical proof, no driver logs that show abuse or power shifting as pistonripper implied.

In a perfect world you could have a ton of timeslips and sponsor deals all over both side of the car and still get warranty coverage. However it's not a perfect world, and they know that. Their WORST possible outcome would be to reimburse for the repair. They know this as well.

Other things to consider when bringing it in for service work, be sure the car is clean on the inside, no melted rubber stuck to the wheel wells, no grease pencil dragstrip markings on windows etc... Less stickers/decals the better. If they are presented with a well mannered individual with what appears to be a well kept car that needs legitimate repairs your starting out a mile ahead of the game.

If you look into your warranty info booklet, it will actually detail the sequence of events to do if you're not happy with the answer. I'd recommend following this prior to lawsuit to keep costs down. Keep your money to pay car insurance!

id be there at 9:00 if i didn't have class, but i don't understand why your on my thread bashing me. all im saying is that im concerned about that fact that the best evidence they came up with was tickets and timeslips

i specifically said im not bashing classic mazda or their service dept. i'm trying to have an intelligent convo with you but it's just not working out

Not to mention pistonripper said he got free 'perks'. If this is real, he probably just got his friend fired. Good move in this job market/economy/recession. Let me guess, pistonripper, you're Lenny and your buddy is George?

No dud I messed with you because I'm also a master Mazda tech at another store and people like you talk and wine, why why, we try to help you and you bash us,I don't understand I've known the manager there for 15 years and hes a master tech also, the guy knows his s*** and always helps customers, and if you didn't know, look it up there in the top 10 for most satisfied customers in THE COUNTRY, if they didn't help people out they wouldn't be there

While the bickering might be entertaining to observe, You can't control how douchebags act online, you can't undo the previous service visit and "evidence" therein, BUT you certainly can take control of yourself, and through this, the way the rest of it plays out from now on.

I would definitely suggest you escalate the warranty denial through Mazda USA and even to arbitration if need be. Flagging the car in their system is a serious situation and will negatively effect the rest of the warranty that its left. During this process it is key that you try your best to act respectful, speak clearly and properly. No matter how angry you may feel you need to act cool as a cucumber while speaking with anyone at Mazda, arbitrator, judges etc... A reasonable voice and demeanor goes a long long ways.

Speaking with a reputable attorney couldn't hurt either.

there's no doubt i was respectful while voicing my opinion on the situation while at classic mazda, that's one thing i always try and make sure of

seriously now I'm going to try and be your friend, I would drop this and leave it alone because the next time you need help go to Lakeland, the ranked in the top 20 worst Mazda dealers in the country there techs suck and I know they can't fix cars because I fix most of there lemon laws. Dude just let it pass be cool with the dealer and they'll be cool with you

sorry this isn't getting dropped, no i don't plan on bringing up a huge law suit against them or mazda NA. all i want is to be reimburse for the shifter i paid for, because i believe it should have been covered under warranty.

Then do it right , I know a lot of you and have fixed your cars under warranty come on , Im not tryin to be an ass but why was the stuff in the car?
