UPDATE:

As of today, the part cavity in the tool should be finished by tomorrow sometime. Then, the injection galleries and the polishing will follow. I should be looking at parts on Friday evening, just in time to take a few to SEMA!

I'll keep you posted as more info is available. I'm hoping my guy can stick to this schedule!! I need to get parts to Donny asap. ;)

Okay, I saw the tool yesterday evening. It's almost finished. My guy had to recut one side of the tool due to a parting line adjustment....no biggie. He says Monday is our new "see parts" day. ;)

I'll keep you posted!

Here's a couple of pics of the tool as of last Friday...

I just returned from the SEMA show (met Donny....GREAT guy!), so tomorrow I'll stop in at the shop and see where we're at. ;)

It looks great and normally I'd go for something like this, but I'm trying to keep it a sleeper (sssh)

Actually, that's one of the reasons to go with a VentPod....it doesn't draw attention like an A-pillar pod does. ;)

I love where my gauge is on the a-pillar, but I hate throwing a towel over it every time I park and worrying someone is going to break my window and steal it. Plus, come on, looks how sleek the vent pods are! buttsecks

The only thing I don't like is that the vent pod only gives you the option for one gauge... I'm going to get one and use it for boost, then probably get the set for where the air bag light is for the other gauges.

See post #585 for the latest news.

The toolmaker was putting an additional set of ejection pins in the tool on Sunday morning when I stopped by. It's polished now, and I'm just waiting for him to run some test parts.
