so, i got a 84 civic wagovan for free for a winter beeter, and i am moving next week where i will have a garage all to my self. i want to get some crap done over the winter. any suggestions or comments are aweseome

k1 rods
wesico 9.1:1 pistons
ARP Mainstuds
Unichip (my friend/tuner just got authorized for it!)
Fidanza 7lb Flywheel
probe tranny with gtx gear set
3inch down pipe

i will probably run 2 maps.
8psi map and 14psi map.

what numbers would i be looking at with this set up along with my current mods?
im hopping for 250whp+

here is what i dont understand, correct me if im wrong..
GT25 pushing 10psi
GT28 pushing 10psi

10 psi is 10 psi either way right? so what difference does the gt28 make?

not so, ill try to explain it the way it was explained to me haha, take 2 straws one being a lil bigger and blow on them and see what one pushes more air, its the same psi but the bigger one pushes more out if that makes any sense, plus it being bigger means you can put down bigger power:)

Sounds good except for the unichip your friend/tuner will only be your tuner if you ask him to try and tune the MSP with anything larger then stock CC Trust me on this, invest the money in a Microtech Stand alone and have your friend/tuner teach you how to tune and he will still be your friend and now fellow tuner

what do you mean by stock CC? i dont really understand what your saying. elaborate? he is a well known tuner in colorado springs, and is a certified unichip vendor/tuner.

He's talking about larger injectors working with the Unichip. That's going to limit you to safely be around maybe 10-12psi without running out of fuel up top.

An alternative to trying to tune the Unichip with the WRX injectors is to use the stock injectors and run an alcohol injection set up to provide the added fuel and cooling. Yes, there are risks to this, but a good alcohol injection system can be purchased with "safeguards," not to mention the fact that this is a proven technology with a good track record—good reading can be found on Evolution, WRX, and SRT forums. A couple of quality names in alocohol injection include Coolingmist, Aquamist, and Labonte, and a few others that will pop up regularly on the other forums.

A good tuner can account for the methanol/water to make more power safely—I picked up 20 whp from methanol injection and a tune of my Unichip. Good luck.

Fidanza 7lb Flywheel

how much does the stock flywheel weigh?

Idk how much, a lot? lol
what about mpi tuner. if its tuned right, is it a pretty good system? and you can run extra injectors with it cant you? and what about running like a and b maps?
