I would describe it more like a Burp, burp, either way it sounds really strange, and I'm not new to the HKS SSQVs, been using them for the past 10 years on various cars. Anyhow maybe it's just me but have you noticed that your car "POP" from the exhaust, not necesarily a "backfire" but a POP between shifts on low boost...Mine started to do that every once awhile, how strange and it's in Recirc too....

Hardest part is the snap ring IMO. I bought ratcheting snap ring pliers made it alot easier still had to seat it all the way in with flathead. I had mine to recirc. for like 6 months until this weekend. Took off the recirc hose I had cut it alittle too short so I had really tightened down the hose cramp good. Well guess it was little too good bent the metal recirc on the HKS. So now its VTA and I reversed the BOV so fins are pointing toward headlight seems okay? lol. Ill either have to straiten it or buy a new one from su. By the way put on the SU motor mount this weekend Fin amazing was skeptical before best mod for money.(piss). PM me if you have any install questions.

if your complaining about the hks sound, then don't even ask about the forge..lol. there's some vids of it out on youtube.

as for the hks valve, i just installed my hks specific valve. already mounted to the flange, no pliers or o-ring install. the valve is set to the best position. took me 20 minutes out of the box, taking my time. that's why i got it, so i wouldn't have to mess with that stuff. only thing that needs to be done, is the recirc hose needs to be rotated some to fit. i'm running vta for now, but will switch once i get sick of the sound.., which is suprisingly growing on me.

really? the forge one is bad? i saw those youtube video online, they don't sound that bad but then it's depends on their camera. it actually sound like the stock one and with a little ping sound to it.
