MSP midpipe will be delivered in two weeks (Thanks Satimko!!!) and Ractive 4-1 header will be in the mail tomorrow.

Nice wrap job Jeg.....thinking about doing something like that with the ractive. I would love to have it Jet-hot coated but $$$$

Thanks man :) I didn't know if I should post the very few pics of my process in this thread too as I have already posted them in the "what have you done to your protege" thread. They are posted elsewhere as you may find out later lol. It really wasn't all that bad of a job but it would have been a lot easier out of the car thats for sure.

pure sex.

Thank you! Its wrapped all the way down past the 2nd O2.

Well I may be moving to WI soon, but that dont help you much lol. Think I did a good enough job for just going at it without researching what other people have done? I really like the way everything turned out, it holds heat well... after a kinda long drive with everything up to temp I could get out and actually touch the header! The wrap was really hot but it was still touchable :) Crazy huh?

Everything unwrapped in this pic was wrapped with one length of wrap to finsh it off:

3rd pipe and collector not wrapped...

1) the rust is pretty minor, and its just on the hanger(i live in MA,so rust is to be expected) 2) It was free,i'd rather do a cat back so i can switch it back at some point for inspections and such, but that would require saving some cash(not that thats a bad thing) 3) thanks for the honesty, because im seriously on the fence about this muffler.
That's totally fair! I was just saying to perhaps hold out for a proper exhaust and install a proper part on your car. I think you'll be much happier in the long run.

It sounds awesome (no pun intended), and it looks like you did a careful job.

I need to step up the modding game!

Edit: just saw the edit. Very nice :D

I'm still not sure which exhaust to go with. its going to take a while for me to save up, I still need to save up for some MSP wheels to have em powdercoated!

Filled the tank up this morning....only $33...woohoo. Then it was a stop at the hardware store, some Christmas shopping and picked up some Bosch Icon blades at Autozone....OMG they are so nice. Can't wait to use them in the rain.

After that I picked up lunch and ate with Tam. Then it was back to the house where I met up with WannerMS3. We test fitted the Tribute wheels on his CWP MS3 and they fit....cutting it close to the calipers but wheel spun freely in both directions.

After mounting his stock wheel back up we went for a ride. Let's just say I want one now. lol

And for Scratchnsniff.....excellent purchase you made on those seats!! They are damn nice!

Straightened out my turbolife intercooler core (is was off-centered before) and installed the Corksport radiator with two 12" SPAL fans. I wired the fans so they both come on with the primary. I haven't been able to get them to kick on by themselves but both did come on with the A/C (slower fan speed). These things are going to be crazy loud when they really kick in...

Installed the full GTSpec rear cage and Medieval dead pedal this morning. Man, I really need to pace myself when it comes to installing things. It's only 3 PM on a Saturday afternoon and I'm already done for the weekend and bored. I wanted to wash the car and clean the interior and engine bay today but it's too damned cold outside! Pictures of GTSpec stuff and engine bay below.

]just finished installing the water temp adapter from prosport

Don'tmine the blue/white wires. i'll be hiding them with the black wire cover stuff. I just gotta get it back from my buddy later this weekend

I did just the cut and insert, but it added an inch to the upper radiator line, so, i had to cut about half inch off either sdie of the slide already so it would fit better with no pinch in the line.

It still has bends, as the adapter is quite long for our upper hose.

Also, Don't remove the hose from the car. water and radiator fluid spews out of the engine. Lesson learned

So, finally, all 3 gauges are functional. water temp, oil temp, and oil pressure
