What is the best way to tap into the ECU wires in order to install a MAP Clamp?

I'm very interested in this also. I have a ATP defender and a Turboxs MBC and I'm wondering if the split second is a better option.

you want to locate the 3 wires running off of the ecu then strip some of the cover off of them. then you can just wrap the 3 wires around the ones specified or solder them in and dont forget to tape over them after your done.

Your installing a electronic band aid to make your ECM ignore a tuning issue??? Not good, just get tuned somehow instead.

we have found it to be a more accurate option than a BCD

Some company with access to connectors and the ability to make harnesses needs to make an adapter harness that will plug in at the sensor end. Kind of an extension cable, then people can cut and splice to their heart's content without worrying. Not to mention the ability to restore to stock is greatly improved.

keep in mind that it's not that simple... it's like calling anything but a full standalone a bandaid also.

Is the map clamp the best thing for the computer? no
Is it 20% the price of the cheapest "real" tuning solution? yes
Does the map clamp allow you to run more boost without cutting? yes

Brand new, a good map clamp (like SS) and boost controller can range from $150-$250. That's still quite a bit cheaper than even the cheapest "real" tuning solution. Some people just can't go out and buy the best thing every time.

while i agree that would be nice, i have explored this option and found it to be cost prohibitive right now.
