Wow, they are really restrictive about tint in DC. In MD, you can go 35% on the sides and rear (and that includes the driver and pass. windows, I know some states like FL don't allow the driver and pass. fronts to be tinted.)

I've been tinted at 20% for 4 years and haven't got a ticket (knock on wood).

no tint in front passenger and driver windows in IL. Tags on front and rear also.

^^^same in Jerz but PA will allow tint on front windows. Not sure what the legal percentage is though.
