ALL 2010 Mazda3 Stuff Goes Here

I think they have a great base car to work with to make a speed3. But mazda's history proves that they dont make two model cars as "speed" cars, like they are making a mazdaspeed3 right now, they wont be making a speed3 for the next body style. I have a feeling that the next speed car is going to be the rx-8.
if they do make a speed RX-8 for the states, I might have to buy one. Give me a rotary with 300+ hp and that is music to my ears.

I think with the critical praise and brisk sales of the 3 and speed 3 it would be foolish for them not to release a mazdaspeed version, especially following a redesign.

I'll save my judgement until I see it personally. I like some things and others not so much.
But, like Billthecat,I'm happy with the one I bought. It's just right for me.
Additionally, the UK page suggests, something that was previously posted here: That the future MPS/Mazdaspeed version will have the Ford/Volvo 2.5 I5 turbo engine. I think it's a bit odd, since I'm sure Mazda spent a fair amount of money in R&D for the MZR DISI. Tough I also suspect there WILL be a future version of the car. It gets positive press and is selling well(I think), why not offer a product that people want, and that gives you good press?

how do you figure that, they made a speed protege, and the next model protege IS the 3, and they made a speed3...
better? Looks like a smaller 6 to me, nevertheless all line of new Mazdas share too many of the same ext. outlines to me and I don't like it. (sleep)
it's a matter of time tho I guess before we see the new 3 with a set of nice rims in our neighborhoods real soon and we will all be praising it... any car looks different in person as opposed to a minimized pic on a webpage

Likes:
Dual exhaust - pure sex
Wheels - what's not to like? they look good
Hood scoop - people will disagree with me on this, but I like it
Stance - looks more aggressive than the current MS3
Dislikes:
Front end - bastard child of an '08+ WRX & Ford Focus
Rear end - looks like a P5, no offense to anyone, just not my cup of tea
