do you have any pictures of braking during the day? Can you see them during the day when braking? Also what was your process of painting them, how many coats light??sand? clear? wax?

i have an mp3... but an idea of what i might do... (photoshop)

Not MSP, but here is about 6 light coats of nightshades. For prep I cleaned with powerful window cleaner, compounded, cleaned again, then just coats. No clear coat, sealant, etc.

I'm sorry but I don't have any pics of braking during the day but I will tell you that you can see the lights just fine day or night when you step on the brakes. The process was clean em with windex, sand them, many light coats (the exact number I don't recall) letting them dry 15 minutes between each coat, then 2 or three coats of clear. It was suggested to me in order to make them have that OEM shine you buff and wax them but since I don't have a buffer so I didn't do that step.

bizarro, that photoshop looks good, do it!

lestat, looks very nice!

And here are some pics I found of my car in the snow. I like how dark they look with the contrast of the white snow.

if you do decide to do it, do yourself a favor and use the japanese brand tint spray, night shades is terrible.

here r my lights during the day. as you can tell they are pretty visible even without braking. I bought off another member already shaded, but redid them again with three coats of Nightshade and left it flat looking with no clear coat.

I couldn't find a straight-on shot from the back, but the pic here should give you an idea. Mine were already done when I bought the car. I like the dark tint, but I have another set of tails that I might try doing just a little lighter. Even though these are really dark, they show the lights just fine.

Luckily we don't have full inspections here, just emissions, and the cops haven't said a word about them in 4 1/2 years.
