Kill your Turkey V.2

^ thanks for the info, yeah i have the vibrant block so the 90* is out for me, i am looking at the fittings from *************

anyone know what the flange size is for the HKS SSQV bov, it shows a few different options on the website, but the only aluminum one was 60mm, that sound about right?, and just so i know, ill need to order some new vac lines to set this thing up right?.. any help would be great before i order the other stuff, and if theres anything extra that ill need to install this, also installing boost/a/f gauges along with the other things in my sig at same time..

Sorry if this is a dumb question.

I want to double check something.
For the BPV only setup:
If I'm not mistaken, when you put a BPV with 1" outlets and tubing, the turkey goes away? because its letting more air out thus not causing it to surge?
and the recirculating air should be dumped before the MAF sensor?

Why does it cause stalling on the BOV only setup if the MAF isn't located after the valve? I have a injen CAI and a stock BPV but there's nothing before my MAF except my filter. My car doesnt stall, but sometimes it sounds like it will. Does this have anything to do with that?

Sorry, I went off topic.
Thanks

When i put my CAI in i noticed that the car idled really lowly for a while, it is not tooo bad right now and doesn't happen all the time anymore, but it was still a little strange, wasn't sure why it all of a sudden was happening.

was wondering if theres a better pic of the set up on last pic on the first pg. Where is recirculating and it has orange hoses. I can see where it goes back into the intake but where is the other end.

question...and it may be stupid, but i'll ask it anyway...
if you're running a BOV only set-up, what do you do with the line that the BPV was connected to? what vac. line do you use with the BOV? i am running a BOV only set-up, but the person that put it in connected the BOV to the BPV line, and i still get the turkey.

thanks!

Into the Hotpipe..his GT28 is clocked downward

you need to run a dedicated line coming off of the brake booster. make sure you cut to the left of the check valve, to be safe go towards the center of the line or just feel for it before cutting. I think you can just cap of the line the bpv was using.

ok 2 questions before i actually install this stuff, I am pretty sure that the BPV nipple ID for the hose is 3.5mm, but haven't been able to actually find it anywhere, is that the right size?.. and also for the ssvq v.2 or w/e, am i correct in thinking that it doesn't need to be adjusted for boost?.. even if i up it to around 8-9, it should self adjust and blow off when it is suppose to?- thanks
-also for the vac. line for the bov. it says to use 4mm or 6mm hose (im pretty sure, dont have the instructions with me now) but it seems that it does not make a big difference on hose size, am I able to use a 3/16" or 3.5mm hose because it is very close... or should i not.

Yes the valve will "self adjust" for you.

I have used 3/16" line for a lot of the stuff under the hood. If it will fit over the nipple on your BOV without splitting, it will be fine.

since you have the v.2 it cant be adjusted anyway, only the first style can be adjusted. as far as sizes go im not that sure

505 Zoom please weigh in on this;

I have been thinking about some things concerning the turkey and I think I have come across something pretty important. While the turkey is there with the stock plastic pipes is it possible it is minimal because of the placement of the discharge pipe? What i mean is most people really hear the turkey after installing a sri or cai right? they put the recirculated charged air right near the turbo inlet instead of right behind the maf like it is on the stock plastic intake pipe. What I am wondering is, in addition to a larger inlet/outlet bpv/rdv would it be important to cap of the current location of the recirc inlet on the air intake pipe on my sri which is near the turbo inlet and relocate the 1" fitting farther up the intake pipe so the recirc air is not being released right by the turbo inlet?
