What have you done to your MSP today?

I removed my high flow cat, and replaced it with my straight pipe, but car don't boost more than 10 psi, i've checked all Intercooler pipes, vac lines everything is perfect, i have removed also the intake i made, and just bolt the AEM filter to the turbo like before, went for a ride, the car pulls hard but only at 10 psi, this is so ******* weird, i don't know what else to check or do..
 
Do you have your boost controller or ems set at 25psi still or what? Whats controlling your boost?

I have Electronic Boost Controller, Greddy Profec B Spec II.. everything was the same, i didn't change anything, just my damn cat and now my car runs like s*** only boost 10 psi
 
are you sure the leak isnt larger than before?

I found the problem.. i wish it wasn't that, my Electronic Boost Controller is ******... i putted my Turbo XS Manual one, and oh my ******* goddddddddddddd............. I can't believe the difference, the engine sounds different, i have to really say i pu my pants testing it out, i was adjusting the manual one, and bro i raised too much the boost and hitted over 30 psi, that s*** was too damn ridiculous, i have 100000 times better Throttle Response, boost is insane.. sad my EBC is toasted, i need to find out what is messed up the Unit itself or the boost selenoid valve.. i hope it can be fixed....

I never thought that a boost controller can make such of difference ,i can say that my ebc was dying slowly because the difference between how it was running, and the way running now no words to explain. i also never imagine boosting 10 psi and then boosting 32 psi was that ******* dead and alive difference..

I was reading and wondering if it was yoru controller that was shot. cause I was thinking you should be about 10psi with your mods and no controller.

man, i was putting my EBC in low boost and was acting the same as hi boost setting even when it was working good the car never felt the way it feels now, even Throttle response is just insanely different the engine on boost sounds completely different, i was getting full boost in a progressive way with the EBC, now with the Manual i get all that s*** at once.. oh my god my legs are still shaking...



how can i be sure what's wrong with my Boost Controller, how can i know if the Greddy Boost Controller Solenoid is messed up and not my Greddy Unit ? is there any way to tell or diagnose a problem like this one ?

That's a 22 psi difference there for ya! Man, and I thought my final goal of 16 psi was kind of high, LOL!

Bro i swear i have no words to describe the difference... i think my EBC was ****** long time ago because the way the car pulls right now with the manual is like being dead and alive. the engine sounds much more aggressive under boost, my Vac readings went a little down, the throttle response is immediate.


How can i know if my Boost Selenoid is messed up ? or my Unit ? i like the low boost for daily driving, and high boost for weekends, i don't like to hit full boost all the time.
 
how does your car do anything but spin at 30 pounds of boost?

to be honest i thought it was going to be worst, but man near my dad's house the roads have mad grip, and that s*** just Flies, im going to ask a friend of mine to ride with me to record it. im still in shock how crazy the car feels... and i have a mayor ass Intake Manifold Leak, don't want to know how is going to run when theres no leak


the car hitted a little over 30 psi and my AFR's were at 11.3-11.6 in all gears at WOT, how can i know how much boost my car can take, and so the head gasket ? i mean i don't have any plans on running 32 psi 30 psi or 28 psi, is just too much, i like it at 25 psi is fast but not scary fast, i really don't like to pop the hood and lower or raise the boost that s*** sucks.

you should get a vid of it on the street and then take it to the track and show us how it preforms.

I assume at 30 psi i'll be doing some nasty 1/4 mile numbers, i don't want to guesstimate because i know how this forum thing work when you have no proof.. i'll try to make a video tomorrow of it, highway runs, and street runs.. about Track im kind of affraid to take it to the track because in order to do nice numbers you need slicks, and slicks means some s*** might break, as long as you keep this kind of power on some good street tires you'll be fine, better to spin some than mad grip and some s*** breaking....

put some lil red decals on the back window triangle part. its on both passenger and drivers side. nothin big but they get the point.

Sweet that you got it figured out man! I'm glad I was able to help via IMs. As far as the EBC goes.... can you just buy/borrow a boost selenoid valve to test against the EBC itself?
 
Latest updates to my car

Just letting everyone know what i've got going on in my little part of the MSP world :-P

My current mods are:
Samco Hoses hotpipe, Injen CAI, completely eliminated the second cat on the stock exhaust, and prosport boost and a/f ratio gauges; w/ more to come.

fun fun fun :-D

p.s.- if anyone knows of any MSP peeps in the SC area that wanna meet up or something, let me know!

Got my S-techs on finally woot woot, ill get some pics a lil later and post them. Wont be that low though, how long does it take for springs to pretty much fully settle.
 
...finally put on a correct fitting coupler connecting my turbo to the hot pipe. Kept having problems with it slipping off under boost just cuz the original one I had was a tad too big.
