Yes that should work. With my spacer I'm running about a 49mm offset, so they should clear up front. The back might not work with 255s though, I had to roll my fenders alot to fit mine. Thats running a 53mm offset, you will have 5mm less space to play with.

Eh, wide tires look great (I had 275 on mine), but that's some serious meat to move around. Thinking of gas mileage loss as well.

speak it (rlaugh)
What is that out of?

It works out well my new 255s are the same wieght as my 235s were. I take it you had 275 on an RX-8? I'm not to worried about gas milage, the extra grip is worth it.
WTF.....275? on what car? i demend pics now!!

Yeah let's see some wide tire pics.

I just lowered my car more cause the added height from camber plate top hat. I am closer than you on my spring and perch. lol. My +48 wouldn't fit, I had to use my +45 wheels to clear. I can't even fit a card in there, it looks like it's touching but you can see a hair line of room. I am surprised that I am not rubbing, though. I am not sure why... I am gonna get shorter springs and 5mm spacers just for insurance. And, I am going 17x9 +45 sometime soon.

Tire size? Is this on the 17x8s? If so, 17x9's will definitely need a spacer. Did you max out the camber on the kmacs, I am guessin this gave you less clearance on the inside?

235/45 for both wheels. It was on the 17x8's. I am getting shorter springs for the front so I can move the perch back up... and run 5mm spacers. It should work fine with the 9's. I max out the camber... I have -3 for the driver side, not sure about the passenger cause there's a crack on the ground when I tried to measure.

The reason why I got less clearance is because the top hat made the car higher by at least an inch, wheel gap was there so I max lowered it. Then the perch/spring got too low and rubs on the tire.

Makes sense. How much room would you have if the spring perch was adequately moved up? I was hoping to fit 255s with the kmac plates on 17x9 +45. Take some pics!! :D

If I move it back up, I'd have about at least 15mm to clear the strut and tires on the 8's.

I am hoping to fit the 9's with 245/40 no problem which it should cause I did the calculation... 13mm sticks wider both sides than the 8's.

It looks mean as hell. But the reason i'm not going that wide is, Because i don't want to kill my steering response. I bet your steering response is not same as the stock wheels and tires. I have 17x8.5 with 235 and just killed my steering response. Sharp and quick and tight feeling. Next wheels is going to be 18x7.5 with 225-45-18 re050. i just love the stock tires.
