What have you done to your MSP today?

Summer, with the colder air of the winter its going to run richer cause the colder air is denser. so its best to tune it when its hot out and the car runs hotter.that will be its most extreme weather situatiuon. If u tune it for the cold air when it gets hot out it might detonate from the hotter air.

Wait, are you sure about that? I thought cars run a little leaner in the winter because the air is more dense. Denser air is more oxygen-rich, so the AFR's should go up in the winter, right?

I'm confused.

ive always ran richer in the winter, thats why peoples tunes suck in winter. cause in the summer it runs good but soon as it gets cold itll go richer cause of the colder air.

ive never had it go leaner in the winter.

Finally finished all my wiring for the new gauges and re-routing the primary O2 sensor - that wasn't fun. I'm still waiting on an oil pan and some exhaust manifold studs and once those are in I can finally install them, then make some oil feed/return lines and everything should be good to go. Hopefully next weekend she'll be up and running again.

long day today. spent 9 hours with some friends installing custom 3" turbo-back, custom fmic/hardpipes/bov, motor mounts, and shifter bushings.

day went smooth until fmic, didn't fit right. It was a custom job from a member and I'm just trying to figure it out where I went wrong. The big problem is that it hangs too low and the bumper (2003.5) does not quite get under it. I'm thinking about chopping the bumper up or the piping...I just don't see how the other member got this to fit correctly. I'm going back at it tomorrow...we'll see how it goes.

all day

installed samco sport silicone turbo pipe, aluminum cold-pipe, bov, custom msp smic, vacuum distribution block and replaced all the vacuum lines... and managed to puncture a hole in my radiator during the process... epoxy gets the mvp of the day award for that one... managed to change the oil and wash her too

well, after a tough day yesterday, we got the car back together and running great, the turbo xs typeH bov sounds good, new bushings/mounts really make a huge difference, and that big fmic and 3" turboback are sooooo nice. Long weekend, well over 10 hours put in, but it's so worth it.

Where are the pictures LASERBLUE135 ?

sadly no pics. Really there was no time for pictures, it was non-stop work. My camera broke or I would have taken pics of the old exhaust vs new and fmic vs stock smic...It was a looong weekend, but worth it. Sorry about no pics.

My ABS Light and Parking Brake Light came on and stayed on while driving. Then I turned my car off and back on once I got to work and they were off. Hmm ... Crazy Proteges.

Took my turbo, mani, and s pipe to a friends house yesterday to disassemble and clean it all. Apparently the previous owner took the turbo apart and didnt know how to re-assemble it because there was a exhaust leak all around the rear housing becuase he didnt tighten the housing bolts tight enough. Also one of the bolts was only in by 2 thread because instead of rotating the housing and usinga full length bolt annd then rotating it back and put the rest of them in he just cut on bolt really short and put it in.........wasnt to happy when i pulled that one out. Compressor housing is all cleaned up and shiny. Exhaust housing and s pipe are clean too. There was a spot of oil on the back of the turbine but i dont think its anything to worry about.
