i highly recommend you dont clean with any water or cleaning solution. i guarantee you will end up with a saggy stained headliner.
your best bet is to probably just paint it. but if you absolutely have to clean it, use minimal amounts of water. it is attached with a glue, and i have many horror stories on the detailing forums im on about headliner cleaning screw ups.
I used duplicolor vinyl and fabric paint. I used about 4 cans for the entire job. You're going to want to take all the side plastic pieces out as well as the headliner. Its not hard...it just takes some time. Prep time should be focused on the plastic. No sanding is needed, just make sure they're clean. The headliner is straight forward.
Very nice .. I want to do this as well your color is really close to perfect . what color is it ?
So i know what to buy . is it just black or something more custom
you have a p5 so you have the large hatch to remove the headliner us sedan owners wont have the luxury
So anybody taken a headliner out of sedan or only p5?
