Oh boy..My Candy Red Powdercoating is gonna look killer on this thing.

Looks great! I'm probably going to cut off the two upper fuel rail mounts assuming I get my Perrin issues resolved. I have to ask though, what about the EGR? :)

Thats still a work in progress i talked to him about that last week, but i cant disclose that information all i can say is that it is being worked on lol. Did talk to rich last night tho said mani's going in for test fitting today i think i was really busy at the time when i talked to him so i dont remeber to much.

EGR - I will just go ahead and take a informal poll here on this. For mine, I am going to try a resistor to kill the CEL. This has worked on several other cars with no problems. If it doesn't work I will ONLY offer the ACTUAL hookups. But... if I were to get the (~20 cent) resistor to work, who here would want the ACTUAL hookups for roughly 80-90 dollars upcharge?

Price - After everything (including fittings, packaging, boxes, paypal fees, shipping for the USA, etc...), it is looking like I will be able to do it for about 675-700 total if we get 20 people.

i was actually reading more about it this morning rich tryin to find somethin that could actually help us with the egr ill send it to you when i get home.

EGR is mostly requested for Emission purpose , don't think the resistor will do the trick when it comes to states emission.

Many looks good, now let's see some dyno #

If you can get the resistor trick to work I'll be the first person to switch to the 'no EGR' option. I have been wondering about something like this for quite some time as I've never liked the idea of recirculating exhaust gases back into the combustion chamber. Iff it doesn't work however, what do you mean 'ACTUAL' hookups? You mean only a spot to bolt the EGR to the manifold and we have to fab the line?

I'm down with $700 :)

Hmm, does the EGR have to "see" flow? I'm curious if just leaving it plugged in but zip-tied out of the way somewhere in the engine bay would work? I'd rather not have to spend $80 extra for something that I'm going to have to pay extra on top to get a custom line made.

nope thats allready been tried why do you think i put the breather filter on mine not to get the cel? because the egr has to see some flow if not you get a cel

I don't have inspection here, and I am not sure how anyone's particular area does their inspections. If they visually check for an EGR hookup, then yes that would be bad. I would have thought that Cali would be the only place that they would actually do that though.

I will continue working on the actual hookups for you guys that need it for inspection.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. This is how I feel as well.

We might just have to go that route. If we did that, I could do the EGR option for cheaper. Problem is definitely that hose, as I don't want to sell something that might not last very long, and getting custom hoses that will stand up to exhaust temps aint cheap. I will provide the machined block for bolting the EGR valve to, welded to the manifold, and you guys get the hose to hook it up. I will talk to Kelly about this later this afternoon and see what we can do.

Thanks guys. Keep the feedback coming!

Sorry guys, I totally dropped the ball on that coupler, thinking that I could pick one up locally at either speedlab, special effects, or budlong. Nobody had one. :( I placed a rush order with siliconeintakes this afternoon, but it will still be a few days before I see it.

I got all of the fittings, gaskets, and other stuff that I needed for the install though. I'll use the next few days to make sure I have some excellent baselines done with the accelerometer. My car has been running a little leaner than normal under boost lately, so the max I will be able to go for my part of the testing is going to be only 5-6psi. This should give us a good idea of what it will do for the lower power guys, and hopefully Sander is still down to do some high power pulls on the dyno so we can see what she'll really do.

last update from brach was today. He said they had it on the mill ready to get surfaced. He said he is going to ship it 1st class when its done. I hope to get it next week.
Rich, the intake manifold looks sweet man, give me a call tomorrow night sometime.

Yeah man, keep up the good work. I might actually just hold off on my new FMIC install so I can get the shop to fab up a coldpipe to match directly to this - no 45 deg coupler needed!

actually i just talked to rich about that because of my cold pipe situation that i just pm'd you about and rich said he didnt have to cut any of his pipe off just change the 90 coupler out for a 45 so all we have to do is cut the 90 off and use a 45

I'm going to try to have a 45 deg bend in my coldpipe and then just use a straight coupler. Less stress on the coupler and I think it looks better with more pipe and less coupler.
