Anyone in Germany?

:
Mazda 6i Charcoal Grey
I'll be going to Germany in october (PCS). Anyone on here that is in the area of mannheim / hiedleburg? Or am i going to be the only speed3 in germany?

theres at least 3 speed3's on ramstein, and mine's on order, so whenever it gets here there will be at least 5 of us including you

I envy you guys so much. I just came back from Germany.. Spangdahlem specifically. I didn't have the car then, but I'm sure it would have been great. The autobahn is just a mile or so from the front gate at Spang. I'd be flying all over that place. I had a BMW 525 and a Audi 100 and drove the hell out of them. Oh, remember to race your car around Nurburgring. Last time I was there, it was like .. 12 or 15 euro.

Hi guys,

I just signed up here and found the Germany thread. I'm German, so I grew up on the Autobahn.
My husband works as a civilian for the Army in Mannheim. We also ordered a MS3 so there will be one more here...

I just recently saw a MS3 in Mannheim with Heidelberg license plates.

MXchaos, did you order through Autoexchange? When? And what did they tell you when to expect it?

wow. more germany people that i have expected. We would definitely have to get together. and yea, i was planning on running the ring. one of my life long dreams.

I ordered mine in febuary, I'm deployed right now and I will be taking delivery in late Oct/ early Nov of this year hopefully

hey,
i ordered early march and i just got to know that the car was built on june 6th, but it won't leave the States till August 18th, so the estimated delivery to Germany will be second week of september...
mxchaos, I guess we gotta be patient!
I have never seen the Mazda MPS (German one) except at the dealer and I have been paying attention since february...theyre pretty rare.

Engulfinflames,
are you excited to come to Germany? Are you going to MA or HD?

I left Germany 7 months ago.

Here's a hint.

On 3 lane autobahn roads you can usually get to 140+mph without worrying about a trucker cutting you off. But be very alert.

On 2 lane autobahn roads I recommended no faster than 120mph, otherwise you'll probably cook your brakes as the truckers, especially eastern-block, love cutting right in front of you to pass up the "slower" truckers.

Be smart, stay alive.

I so miss the autobahn. With gas prices as high as they are it'll be tough, but try a Cannonball Run from K-towne to the Czech border. If you get anything under 3 hours, you're the $hit. I'm pretty sure the Germans have a site (in German) that posts times, but I couldn't find it. Stelina? Maybe you know.

HA i have orders for heidleburg in december :D I have a protege5 though

Sorry, I looked, but couldnt find anything really, sorry.
Heidelberg is nice, I go to college there everyday. Unfortunately the A5 is always crowded when Im going, so no speeding there, but probably better for my mileage... still more than 2 months to go...

i was born in Austria and my father currently lives there... he told me the mps cost 30000-35000 euros is that true? and if thats the case why don't you order from here and sell it over there? you'll make some profit (drinks)(naughty)

i just built one online on the German website, for a brandnew mps with all possible options it's 31.150,00 which is 48 871,235 U.S. dollars! Incredible huh? Everything here is just so much more expensive (argh)

anyway, I think importing is more worth if you buy more expensive cars because you would have to pay quite a bit for import tax, 19 % Sales Tax
and so on...

saw a red one in Mannheim on post today...I guess there are quite a few :-)
My car will leave the US port on August 14...I think/hope I'll have it by the middle of september...wohoo....

i just got back from germany about a month ago. i was in weisbaden but i didn't get my speed3 until i got back to the states. ur gonna have a lot of fun driving it over there!
