*ridiculous pie charrt* aha.......!!!! i found a key to the puzzle......it's like a thought map...or something. now if we could only put times of the day in each one of these segments we would know exactly how to approach, or even not approach them during that time. naw... we'd still fail anyway.

I'm not very good at catching sarcasm, so if you're joking, I'll apologize in advance.

If not, then (spank) to you for that silly chart. What kind of women do you hang around with? :p

LOL! So wrong! I only do one of those things and it's getting work done. Babies are ick, shopping on credit is a bad choice, crying is a waste of time, so is thinking you're fat, I don't go to clubs or bars, don't read horoscopes, and I don't give compliments to people. (rlaugh)

(werd) I wants a white one...
Sorry we crapped in your thread, dude. But congrats on the test drive!! (yippy)

My husband and I are on again / off again with buying an MS3. We already have an MSP and a P5 and while we like the P5, it doesn't have the "woo-hoo!" factor an MS3 has. But the P5 does require cheaper gas. So it's a toss-up. When we went and test drove an MS3 we had to leave the dealership fast or we would have bought the damn thing! LOL!

yes, this thread has turned into something i didn't anticipate. let's all cool it. there's no point in arguing with knox joe, as you won't change his mind. he's definitely in the minority opinion in the U.S., but hopefully his offspring will become more like mainstream USA in regard to male/female roles.

but, i have good news. i have discussed with my wife regarding the opportunity that we have now, with the prius in short supply, and the carpool lane sticker no longer available in california. we can get top dollar for the prius now, while several months later the price could drop by thousands.

so tomorrow i will go for a long test drive of the ms3, this time to include the freeway. if i really like it, i'll buy it, and it's preapproved by the wife.

Congrats on the test drive, you'll have a blast. I redlined it twice on my 2nd test drive. (evil)

Sorry for contributing to the threadjack by the way, I get out of hand sometimes.

Excellent! Show her how save it is for the kids by demonstrating its active
3rd gear safety feature that lets you sprint away from trouble at a moments notice.

Tell her that children find the sound of a BOV soothing.

Let her know that torque is limited in the first 2 gears......to save gas.

Also theres plenty of room in the hatch for 2 bottles of nitrous......I mean groceries! :)

Have fun and congrats on working it out.

(Pssst.... California car pool stickers aren't transferrable... but don't tell anybody...)

Hey this is Shiroi's girl hijacking his account. I lurk sometimes because I am a big fan of our ms3. Probably more than he realizes. I wanted to wish you, OP, good luck and I hope you pick the ms3. I actually did a lot of the research for the boy when it came to choosing a car. Our old Honda Civic Hatchback's transmission was showing signs of death so we got rid of it asap. I no longer felt safe in it.

The Mazda Speed 3 is the perfect car for us. He wanted a hot, powerful car and I wanted a hot family car. I have no intentions of being a soccer mom. The kid just needs a backseat, room for his/her crap, and safety features. We both agreed that the ms3 was the best bang for our buck.

Is your wife a Christian?

Colossians 3:18
Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.

I bust this one out on my wife all the time just as a joke. It never works with cars...lol. We went through this last week when I test drove an Evo X. We couldn't come to an agreement, so I didn't get it. Life goes on, and I still have my wife, which is much more important than any car. Sure, I make more money, and if I were single it'd be a done deal. Marriage means comprimising...always...never forget it.

aww im touched. Tear!!!

she's drove a lexus and a bmw and makes you tootle around in a Prius?(notcool)
1. Prius is worth a stupid amount of money right now.
2. prius has 14.4 cu.ft. cargo space
MS3 has 16.5 and 43.3 with seat down woo hoo(crazy)
3. I'm really just blabbing, make sure you take into consideration the premium fuel, the gas mileage is actually not that bad, its the 4.70 a gal that hurts.

Good luck, and good luck getting a long test drive, my dealers treat these cars like $500,000 super cars.

Great verse. It only works if both parties compromise though like you said.

Ephisians 5: 21-31

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. After all, no one ever hated his own body, but he feeds and cares for it, just as Christ does the church..... :)

so, i went to the dealer, and drove the car for over 15 miles. not a single complaint from the dealer, unlike the other mazda dealers i went to. on the freeway, even on 5th and 6th gears, the car had good acceleration. the gobs of torque is definitely a good thing. i actually had to try hard not to rear end the other cars.

the clutch and shifter were pretty good. i could shift smoothly enough.

probably the only negative is the road noise and exhaust hum/drone. whenever i let go of the gas pedal, i notice the drone. i guess only time will tell whether i get used to it, or get annoyed.

oh, i forgot to mention, yes i bought the car.

i got the gray GT without any options, for $200 over invoice.

the same day i got the ms3, i sold my 2005 prius with 78k miles. i couldn't believe someone paid $19k for it.

i think tomorrow my wife gets to ride in the ms3. let's see what happens.
