If you can stand having your car down for a little bit do this: Install the pulley like you would then without putting belts on adjust the two tensioners so they are 1/4 - 1/2 of the way out from the shortest setting. Next take some string or twine and run it around both sets of pulleys and pull them tight. Make a mark where the two ends cross for each set and then pull the strings off and measure. From the lengths of the two peices of string you should be able to find out what belt number you'd need. IIRC, you can go to Goodyear's website and they have descriptions of how the belt numbers correspond to the number of ribs and the length. Hope this makes some sense.
I just got the OBX brand UDP and I was wondering if the belt sizes would be about the same as the Unorthodox, or RR UDP??
Anyone else have the OBX UDP??
did anyone try the shorter belts^^^^
i plan on buying the gatorbacks.. some say it works some say it doesnt... kinda worried. the RR udp is on its way to me
which shorter one's? i dont want to get belts that just dont even fit. I mean some peoples gatorbacks worked. I just called autozone they have them in stock. if its a squel just from start for 5min while the car heats up i can deal. How bad of a squel are we talking about here n e way?
my RR UDP belts have only squeaked when soaking wet and/or very cold, AND I was accelerating from a stop. I have the gatorbacks, shorter belt lengths. Squealing is super rare now![]()
