hmmm nice whine sound.

BUT the hood is open so that could be why it's louder.

I see you have the check engine light on, is that due to other mods or is the BOV vented to air in that video?

Either way it sounds sweet! I need to make a video of my Greddy Type-S that I installed. HKS is pretty sweet!

i would like to hear the type s because although the hks ssq is nice, its just not my style, nor do i fancy the mario coin noise of the forge. would really like to hear yours.

hahahahaah thats a new one! I call the forge a doorbell "ding" sound but a mario coin noise thats hilarious!

I forgot to make the video last weekend, it's so ****** hot outside, but I will do it soon. Honestly you can get the atp greddy adapetr flange from ********** for $30 and buy an immitation greddy type s on ebay for like $30 shipped and for less than $60 you got a sweet sounding bov that works well! Althoguht HKS is very nice, coming up with over $200 for a bov and adapter is pretty rough.

prolly the route i'll go also^

I will tell you though, it does not sound like the real high pitched whistle sound of the type s from fast and the furious or youtube videos. It more or less sounds like the type rs which is a pretty nice ass whoooosh and psssh sound at the end and a tiny whistle to it as well.

So I was all excited to get the ear piercing whistle of the type s and it's not that with the imitation one. But hey... for $60 it sounds 1000 times better than that nasty Forge BOV sounds and much cheaper

I would love the turbosmart but its too expensive, I like the turbo xs 50/50 hybrid thats about $180 shipped, but I have not heard it in person or a good sound clip or it. Hard to get something to sound really sick when its recirculated! The Type S I have sounds wicked when VTA, but the car stalled on me 4 times with it :( so i had to recirculate it

This is what I have right now:
street unit atp adapter flange ($30)

the imitation greddy type s bov:

installed (you have to turn the top so that your vaccuum line doesnt hit the hood):

Yeah, the hood is open and i have an injen intake, but it still is very noticeable with the hood closed.

The light you see not a CEL, its the brake light. Haven't gotten a CEL to date....knock on wood.

I gt mixed up, brake light right next to the cel, my bad, is that recirculated too tho?

does the car stall or run like crap in vta?

No. It runs fine, have a slight backfire every now and then but even still, its not often. Actually runs a little better (seems to pull harder) because it holds boost better, doesnt leak like the stock unit. The only reason I had to go VTA is because I could not angle the BOV to accept the recirc tube. I think its because of the intake though; the way its angled. People say it will run rich between shifts and ruin your cat. converter, but our cars run pig rich anyways...so...its up to you......i have my own opinion, but its just me, we'll see in a couple thousand miles...
