*HELP*DSM afc related

Ok under the options drop down menu the settings should be selected as follows for each category:

System Settings:
Vacuum/Pressure
Programmable Signal Calibrator

Engine Settings:
4 Cylinders
4 Stroke

Output Settings: *********
Pressure 0 to 30psi
Dont worry about output A
Output B: Over RPM OR Pressure (technically can be just the over pressure selection, but the rpm gives a safety zone incase you develope a severe boost leak)
Over RPM: 6000
Over Pressure: -1
Dont worry about the rest

You must do these in this order, otherwise the values wont be correct, ie -1 at vac/pressure is complete different from -1 at absolute...

Bringin up an old thread...

I spoke with someone at splitsec about the output b, over rpm, and over pressure setting. Apparently when over rpm and over pressure are met the unit takes over the o2 signal whether the car is in open or closed loop mode. So, this brought up the question if the settings of -1/6000 make sense, according to splitsec, they don't (unless dsmconvert can explain). With these settings the ESC function is never used. I don't fully understand the concept yet but I plan on bugging splitsec once I get my innovate wb and can actually see what's going on.

The main reason I'm bringing this up is to see if dsmconvert can provide an insight as to why those are the suggested settings.

I think I might have misunderstood the settings. The guy at splitsec said if you go with pressure AND rpm then you'd probably set pressure around 1 and rpm around 1500(this sounds a little low to me, imho). If you're using pressure OR rpm then the settings dsmconvert suggested are fine (I guess he figured if someone had a boost leak then it would be running leaner already and. The settings are pretty much used to tell the afc when to take over the o2 signal, so YMMV.

Sorry for the confusion (nailbyt)

Hey guys! My car has been running leaner at idle for the past weeks! I have even thrown a CEL (P0171). My A/F stays in the red section with teh AFC plugged and without it it swings back and forth from lean to rich (red to green: normal behavior).

I thought the AFC wasnt changing values in vacuum so what could be causing that? I reupladed the map and it stayed the same. What about those settings? Could they cause the signal to be changed at idle?

Thanks

Check all your intercooler and vacuum hoses. I suspect you have a leak somewhere. Is it boosting any higher than normal?

I just had the same problem and my wastegate just failed. The problem also started a few days before the boost jumped to 15psi.

Any news on the O2 signal or the correct settings! Can these units break just like that? Mine was working fine and from day to day it started to act up crazy at idle !???
