Just installed my TRZ Dogbone Poly!!

wasssup boyz...
just did my install and here are my comments

it vibrates much more than the SU mount,(my boy vic has it) on start up and idle. when accelerating or shifting at about 1800 - 3500rpm, you get the most and harshest vibrations...same thing when you are in high rpm (5000-6000) and let off the throttle, it vibrates like a mo'fo! besides that, you dont feel it as much.under hard acceleration, the vibrations make it feel like an older car
in terms of performance, OMG!!! throttle blips are instataneous, and under hard acceleration, it does feel stronger and more solid. clutch engagment feels real good and sounds nice during idle and idle accerations...no lift shifts from 2 - 3 and 3 - 4 are an excellent improvement, feels like it never stops accelerating!!!!!!!

however, like you AutoXRacer, i also have mix feelings about this mod...

i really hope the vibrations reside a bit. i already see myself ordering the SU mount just to test the diffrence.
I COUDNT TAKE IT ANYMORE(deadhorse)
i installed a AWR durometer 70, at least for the time being. im looking for a the AWR 88, so if anyones know if one for sale, please advise.
anyhow, im gonna keep the TRZ for the time.
i took the 70 for a heavy drive, redline runs and flat foot shifts. made some harsh take offs too, just to sit the mount good. not that much diffrence to tell you the truth.
just the buttery feeling. ahhh (nana)

I wonder what the new CP-E mount is like... They say it transfers no vibes, yet is "race" duty!!!! (huh)

well then, they lied !! its just that simple. mounts are one of the few things when you cant have your cake and eat it too. if you dont feel vibs....it isnt doing s*** ! it may be big and shiny, just like most cp-e stuff, but that doesnt mean anything either. a big soft weak bushing wont tranfer vibs. it also wont lock in your motor like an UPGRADE should. if you dont feel it working...it isnt !

i'm definitely reserving judgment on this whole deal, but i am optimistic because CPE used rubber bushings instead of cheaping out and going with urethane ones. we shall see how it all goes when mine shows up next week...=d

btw...i was just thinking about it, and it makes sense to me that the material itself could make a difference in how it dampens idle vibrations vs huge yanking ones when accelerating. by this, i mean that durometer = measure of a material's hardness...not how elastic it is. soooo...all things equal, it sounds like it's very feasible to have two materials with equal durometer ratings which feel completely different as far as mount stiffness goes...=d

well here is where i will once again disagree with cpe. i feel rubber is in no way better than polyurethane. that is why 90% of all aftermarket mounts are made of urethane. it holds up better than rubber. it will not dry out and rot like rubber. and it is much more chemical resistant than rubber. either way, i hope it works out for you, honestly. i dont like people who enjoy modding to regret a purchase, but it does happen all the time.

i was just thinking that the added elasticity of rubber would be helpful when the mount gets deformed and yanked all over the place as it gets pushed around by the motor. this is obviously just my speculations without any real proof, but hopefully, it holds the smallest hint of truth...:D it's all good, though, because at the very least, i can be guaranteed to learn a bit more about motor mounts after this purchase...;)

I'd like to know how CP-E performs too. So far I stopped on SU mount. The vibrations with TRZ weren't that bad but I couldn't take the entire car resonating when letting off the throttle.
