sup guys. im lookin at boost guages and im on progtege garage as we speak. im lookin at the prosport mechanical amber boost guage. jus wonderin if anyone has this?? is it a good product?? looks like a great deal for 40bucks...

I have the premium electric with the peak and loved it, Although now I'm trying to sell it since I got a dashhawk :(

I would still keep it. If you ever decide to use a MAP clamp the DH will be off but the Gauge will read right.

i just purchased the mechanical boost guage. is there any big differences. and im a newby so can u explain a map clamp and and abbreviation dh.. first turbocharged car. everyday is a learning experience

the mechanical one will work just fine. DH - means dash hawk its an engine monitoring and logging resource.

i just installed a prosport mechanical boost gauge today and so far i am extremely impressed. it looks really clean and works like a champ.

I went with the premium electronic simply because it was the only thing I found that was a bargain in price that has peak hold and warning.
SgtP is correct, if you add anything to cheat the factory boost control system, be it a map clamp or a bleeder, devices like the DH will show inaccurate boost levels.

i have the regular electric one...its great for the money. The premium model is a lot thinner so keep that in mind when you're deciding what to mount it in. I had an A pillar pod and mine was a bit too 'long', the premium model would have fit great. Color matches the red quite nice

they do pretty well, makes a nice gauge, i happen to know someone else that sells them.

Without starting yet another boost gauge thread in this section, I just got the electric premium model (peak/hold) and have a question before I install. Are you goes running the vacuum line through the firewall and leaving the sender module under the dash or are you installing the sender under the hood and running the wires through the firewall? I'm thinking leaving the sender under the dash is easiest, but looking for input. Thanks!
