Horrible Gas Mileage!!! Wtf!!!??

Filled up, drove around the city, with 1/4 of a tank usd - 65KM NOT MILES, 65KM

WTF is going on????? It isn't pulling to one side no vibrations...there is a squeak from the rear tires (not sure which one), but only in reverse and only at start up from overnight - not when warmed up....Is this causing anything?

I get about 10mi/gal but that a long story. Check your air filter and plugs. Feel if the rear rotors have groves on the backside...doubtful but they may be rubbing or just getting close to needing new pads.

Something is deffinately not right with that gas mileage. I hit 150 kms before the needle even starts moving from the full line.

Definately something definately wrong, either you're flooring it constantly and lying to yourself that you drive like a maniac or theres something seriously wrong with your car.

My last tank i got over 35mpg combined with about 80% highway and about 30% of that highway time was sitting in HEAVY bumper to bumper stand still traffic.

I have yet to get under 400 miles on a tank and i never fill more than 12.5 gallons. Definately get that s*** checked out mate

When my cougar started drinking gas like a camel fresh off a trip across death valley, I found that it was the fuel pump. I'd start with your fuel delivery system.

I recall one trip where we had to drive around downtown LA for an hour in very heavy traffic and it just hammered the mileage. My normal "city" drive is actually suburban with about 20 stops in 7 miles, accelerating to about 35 mph in between, and the auto P5 gives 22 mpg, more or less. In horrific urban driving, stop and go on every single block, never getting above 20 mph, the gas usage was much worse. So when you say "drove around the city", the mileage you expect will depend on exactly what kind of driving that was.

That result is exceptional, maybe a little too exceptional. Have you checked the accuracy of your odometer?

LOL...

Im getting sucky mileage too now... I don't know what the hell is going on... I think were getting ripped off at the pump. Just last month i was getting 350+ now im lucky if i get 310+ and the only thing i did to my car since was seafoam... Maybe im just driving a little different Hmmm....

ungh you guys have super p5's

from VERY beggining of yellow light. i put 10 dollars in. 2 days later. YELLOW LIGHT.

i would think 10 dollars would give me at least 3-4 days. not 2!

How fast are you guys driving on the highway? The last couple of tanks I've averaged around 30 mpg. But I've been consciously trying to keep it at or under 60 mph at all times. Kind of hard on the freeway, I know.

My 95 Nissan pickup has averaged 25 mpg highway since I've owned it, but I recently slowed down to <60 mph in it as well, and I swear that on the last tank I got 30 mpg...

I hope you guys are calculating using the odometer to measure miles / gallons gas for fill up, as opposed to assuming using almost a full tank and dividing by the tank size. I've been babying mine (shift at 2500) and I'm getting about 30 on average.

heres my adivce..

check your oil...see if its dirty.
air filter see if its clogged
your spark plugs

and gice it some lucas fuel injector cleaner...if you dont believe it works.

go to the gas station after ur car is empty filler up with 01 octan gas or 89
