Finally ordered my DH!!!! few questions.

it should come up in the drop down menu. when you go to find the drivers. refer to that thread DK posted! that will get you through it haha its a pita i know but its worth it haha

I know how to find drivers, told Windows to look where you found yours and no luck. I am running just fine, just had to take the drivers off the CD that came with the DH.

ok im about to thread jack and give some useful info about the drivers (just got mine today)... if your using Vista 64bit, you will in no way be able to use it on vista 64... the drivers are not authorized by microsoft so they will not be able to install at all... i ended up installing it on my moms xp so its all good...

ok now for my question... im basically trying to figure out
what afr are you guys using (theres like 2-3 diff ones) and what are normal numbers to be getting... mine move around from like 13.2 to like 14.9 about

re: a/f, the right one to use is: expand mazda in the parameter menu, expand fuel in the mazda menu, and then select a/f ratio from sensor. when you are idling, it should be in the mid 14's, when you get on it it'll drop considerably (10-11, i can't remember), when you let off it'll go very very high.

ok thanks thats what i thought it should be. but i dont remember what mine actually drops 2. i think the lowest i saw was 13s...

alright a few other Q's... for the afr should i be using "actual" or "commanded" <- i think that was the name... also at WOT i do get 10-11s but if i let go of the gas in goes to 29.27 exactly and stays there unless i do something.. is that normal... i have another question but i cant think of it at the moment w.o goin to my car and looking at the dh lol

mine does the same thing. i actually have the cammand afr's and the actual afr's on the display to compare and they are right on the money.

munnugles, i just answered your questions and you asked the same ones again!!! do exactly as i stated, and you will have the right a/f selection. this is assuming you have the proper software update, which can be found on the dashhawk portion of the msd forum stated earlier in this thread. and, about the super lean a/f, i said that it'll go very high when you let off.

07speed3, commanded is what the ecu wants to see, so it's essentially useless for us. just use the PID above for a functional selection.

woah just noticed on your last post about the letting off thing... but i did follow you instuructions and i still come across the actual and commanded...
is "afr from sensor" different? i am using 2.4

you'd use actual i believe, but i think the semantics issue is because we are using different versions! i'm using 2.5 beta 4.

here is a pic of where i'm getting my a/f ratio

I think I'm about to order one myself. I take it they plug into the obd port. where is everyone mounting these. This seems much better than a dash full of gauges.......unless u want the ricer effect lol.
